Question about Philips 42PF7320 42 in. EDTV-Ready Plasma Television
Set powers up then shuts down, back cover removed, small circuit board green led flashes 3 times contintually.
3 flashes indicates that there is a problem in the power supply circuit. Being that you have experience with this, you might be able to fix it.

hello, amigo if the all the caps are godd then you have to replace the power supply board. don't try to fix it this is not an easy task. you are looking at almost $200.00 with tax an shipping. just go to google and type your tv model # and ask for the power supply board or just look for the part# on the board itself. good luck

90% of the time this is capacitor related in the power supply, Remove the back and check for capacitors that are domed shaped on top, Replace these and all should be ok.

Since Philips service manuals do not list a chart for the LED blinking diagnostics, the first thing to look for is faulty electrolytic capacitors on the power supply board, one of the most common causes of failure in plasma tvs. The capacitors are cylindrical objects with an x or k mark at the top. See if you can find any of them on the power supply that are inflated(bulged) at the top and/or cracked. Please let me know what are your observations sot that we can proceed accordingly.
