The socket on your player is an audio output. The headphone socket on a Hi-Fi unit is, again, an audio output. If your cable has a 3.5mm audio mini-jack (male) at each end, you can connect the headphone output of your device to an input socket, but these generally only exist in some in-car players, and rarely on home audio products.

If you want to connect to a Hi-Fi system, you are better off connecting to the phono-in sockets that you will find at the back of your unit, notably on dedicated amplifiers. You can then get a simple lead with a 3.5mm audio mini-jack (male) at one end and a pair of phono plugs (left and right) at the other end. This should cost no more than a few pounds and are available from places like Maplin or from specialist sellers on eBay.

Want to connect pc speakers and subwoofer to lg37lc55 tv unfortunaly it doesnt have an earphone 3.5 connection point. My other smaller tv does, the speakers and subwoofer consist of a white and red audio...

Hello,
Your TV should have an AUDIO OUTPUT other than optic..at least " Headphones" output..
You can connect TV audio output with a RCA cable.
white and red audio jack....
since SUB has both RCA and "3,5mm Headphone female Jack"..here are the options;
** you need to buy a cable one end 3,5mm MALE headphone jack and the other end 2xRCA stereo (or 1x RCA for mono or you may need "Y cable " ) to be connected to your TV...
** or 2x RCA
white and red audio jack and connect from your TV..
**" "Headphones" output to SUB with 3,5 male-to-male cable ( the least recommended)
And you need to connect front, centre and rear speakers to your SUB as well...
Take care and if it succeeds please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up

Hope this helps!

How do you hook audio speakers to a portable dvd player

I am guessing that by this question you mean using computer speakers with a 3.5 mm jack with a portable dvd player which might have a 3.5 mm jack or you could get an adapter cable composite audio (red and white) to a audio jack.
Hope this helps

Plug for pc speakers wire

To use the speakers on the TV when you connect to a PC, get a 3.5 mm M/M audio cable (it may be called a patch cable or audio aux cable) and connect it to the PC audio in port to the left of the composite A/V ports (that's the group with 3 RCA jacks yellow (video)/red(R audio)/white (L audio)). The other end goes into the computer's line out (speaker out) port - which is generally colored green. Otherwise your regular computer speakers will play the audio.

If you want the TV's audio to output to external speakers, use the headphone jack (sometimes labels Phones, again a 3.5 mm plug) or a set of speakers/receiver that takes an optical audio connection. The optical audio jack is between the two coax connectors. Please note using the headphone jack will force the internal speakers off.

I hope this helps.

Bose speak cable was accidentally pulled out of computer and I cannot understand how/where to plug it back in. Dell xps 420

The 3,5mm jack from your speakers must be connected at the GREEN 3,5mm female jack (at the back panel of your dell, NEAR the blue, orange and black jacks, just above the USB connectors). Maybe this photo will help you:

In case you have another audio card and you're not using the onboard with the computer, the connections is a little different. In that case post a reply to clarify for you.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

Car audio and mp3 player

Turn volume up all the way on goGear, then turn volume up on your car stereo.

Static is caused by the headphone moving around in the jack - find a place where the GoGear can sit relatively still w/o shuffling, etc.
