Question about Compaq Presario 700 470024-192 Notebook
My laptop is having this problem, windows fail to start or software changemight be the cause,is asking me to insert windows installation disk and restart the computer.i dont hav windows installation disk to repair my computer and dat is why am contacting u if their is any help you can render for me to repair my laptop.thanks.
Hi Some laptops (actually most to all ) have a partition on the master drive called a restore sector. What you can try to do is restore from this sector. To do this all you have to do is boot from that drive :) (dont worry it aint complicated) When you turn on the laptop it ask you to press a certin key to enter boot menu menu usually F9 F10 or F11 press it and then select the second part of the Local Disk it sould look like Drive 0-1 or 0-2 well you will see it the first will be the normal boot the second the Restore sector. If that dont work or it aint there simply borrow a windows disc from a friend. Dont worry it aint going to do a full install. it will detect the disc and then repair it self and boot normally. Then you may remove the disc and return it.
If you need further help please contact me.
