Keyboard circuit is already shorted. You must clean the the keyboard portion inside the laptop because there are still liquid there. You have two options. Call the laptop provider to fix that issue or claim your warranty.

Send it for servicing. The liquid may have seeped into the motherboard and spoilt something.

If you still want to try, but it near a warm, not hot heat source. It may speed up the evaporating of the persisting liquid in the laptop.

My computer is automaticlly turning down the volume and the Quick launch button for turning down the volume is flashing, as if you're pressing it.

Hi there,

it sounds as though the quick launch button is stuck down, have a look around the button to see if there is a build up of anydirt around the button which is causing it to stick, if you can get a pin down the edge of the button you may be able to gently lever it up so it no longer being activated.

Hope this helps

I have spilled just a spoon of water on my laptop, after it the keyboard is not working a t all, i cant even log into bios. i have sony vaio vgn z series laptop, i tried to delete the driver, and when...

When this happens, you should fully disassemble the laptop & thoroughly inspect its inside. Look for any traces of liquid on the circuit boards & on other components. On circuit boards, liquid damage appears in the form of whitish traces. These needs to be wiped off. This can be done using a tooth brush moistened with few drops of hand sanitizer liquid.
Check all internal connectors & make sure that no liquid seeped into them. Dry them if needed.
When you are done, re-assemble back the laptop.
If the liquid fell on the keyboard & you found out that the keyboard is no longer working, then you will have to replace the keyboard.

My hp dv7-1245dx has no response from keyboard and touch pad. I can go into the bios but ther keyboard stops working once in bios. is there anything I can do?

See if you can operate the laptop using an external keyboard. If you can this will help for the next stage.

1.) Did you upgrade from Vista to Win7? This can cause issues with the keyboard filters.
Try to (using the external keyboard and mouse) download the latest drivers for the the motherboard

2.) Have you at any time spilled liquid on the laptop? Dried residue, especially from sugared drinks like coke can cause not only shorting of the circuits but also corrosion.
If this is the case, you will need to open the laptop to try and clean the affected area, you might need to replace the keyboard also
