Ford focus cd player 6000 shows error code e12

SOURCE: do i need any tools to remove my ford 6000 cd

you need a bladed screw driver, a philips (cross) screw driver..

Thats it,, you have to remove the piece of dash covering it,, (There are screws hidden like under the draw) and then pry it off with the bladed screwdriver..

remove the brackes holding the cd player, then unscrew the player itself.

good luck

Need a radio code for 2003 1.8 tdci ford focus

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Ford service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

I have a Ford 6000 cd player, it won't play cd's has an error code E12, what can i do to fix it??

Unfortunately, you will have to pull the unit out from the dash. Once removed, open it and inspect the laser lens for dust and dirt. Clean the lens with "Q" tip and alcohol. Then power the player and verify that the lens moves up and down to focus and a red beam of light is observed momentarily - the laser light shinning. Then before you replace the unit back into the dash, test the player to verify it works.

According to the Ford Audio Manual ERROR E2 is "Over temperature error"....meaning that the unit is getting too hot.

The 4 digit code is to unlock the stereo if the stereo is asking for the code.
If your stereo is working fine then just ignore it but keep the code safe, if your battery ever gets disconected or you remove stereo and put it back in then you will need the code to unlock it again.
