Even when blank your memory stick will not have exactly 8gb free space. It's also likely that you have saved data on the stick also, as well as files the psp creates for things like internet browser bookmarks, history etc. For clarification also, how much free memory is it stating you have with no games on the stick?
Okay from reading your post you have or had a CFW (custom Firmware) psp. Sounds like what happen is you updated with Sony's OFW (official) via the wifi. So now your psp will show that folder as it is now not supported.
And the way you are viewing your ISO folder is from your computer.? Your best bet is whoever fixed (hint hint) your psp before should look at it again and more than likely put it back to the way it was before you updated. the tools you would need if you want to try to do this yourself:
A CFW psp (to create files and battery needed to "fix") A memory stick (at least 512mb) A battery (to put into service mode)
I will not post where this info is you have to find it yourself as to I do not want to break any rules here. But I will tell you what it's called.
Just a few words you can look up. "Despertar del Cementerio v8" (A program needed to "fix" your psp) "Pandora battery" (service mode) "Magic Stick" (aka jig stick)
You can google it. You will find what you need to know.
you can go to the nearest gaming store to update a new firmware. pls remember not to download any firmware update from the internet, this will corrupt your console. Mostly, internet firmware update are not safe.
well, to run games on a memory stick you must have a certain psp hooked up to where you can play games on your memory stick, buying a psp from the store won't let you play games from the memory stick, you must buy a psp game,, im sorry
In order to update, you need to have your psp FULLY CHARGED, I mean 100%, and have your psp setup to connect to the internet via wifi, after that, you can go to the setting section, select network update to update your psp to the latest version.
Alternatively, if you have a memory stick, you can download the firmware update from the internet to your memory stick.
Both method need a memory stick. If you already have one, I can give you the link below in order to download the firmware update.
