Sorry, you are going to need new camera circuitry. Cash in on the warranty, if you have one. Otherwise try to sell it online somewhere.

Canon G7 doesn't shoot when flash is on

This is most often what happens when the flash in the camera goes out. If you need to have it serviced, this place is great for the Canon Powershots: www.camerasandparts.com All they service are the Canons and the work through them is superb. They are not expensive at all and the best part is they do excellent work on these models. Hopefully they can help you with it. Good luck.

Screen is black but camera seems to work fine otherwise

For this problem, you can have it fixed at: www.camerasandparts.com They're wonderful for fixing Canons and they have your problem right on the site. Plus, since you have a G7, you benefit as they include the no power correction (common problem) to all G7 and G9 cameras they work on. It will cost you $89 for everything, service for the camera comes included with them too. Hope that helps to get you in the right direction with it, that's a great camera to not be able to have working.

I have a powershot g7 for almost 4 years now and suddenly the images are blurry. Thanks to advice what could be the problem.

Might be the lens or maybe a circuit board in the camera. If you need to get it repaired you can have it done at: www.camerasandparts.com All they work on are Canons and they are not expensive at all. For $89 they service the G7, both the parts and repair are included, the service for the camera, the shipping back, and they also do the no power correction to prevent the common no power problem on the G7 model that a lot of people eventually go through. If you need to have it fixed, they're the place for these. They only work on Canons and they're excellent for service on these models. Good luck with the problem.

My G7 will not take a picture whilst the flash is on, if I turn the flash of it takes a picture no problem.

You have a distorted image problem which could be caused by a few things on that camera. Try this site: www.camerasandparts.com They just specialize in service for the Canon Powershot Cameras and the good thing with them is they have the distorted image fix on their site for the G7. In other words, you don't have to worry what's causing it, their repair packages fix it no matter what the cause. The nice thing with them is they are not expensive at all and they do the servicing for the camera too. I hope that helps, that's where many go for help on the Powershots.

I think that you can easily upgrade the firmware available from the Canon website.
Reference the Memory google for the Memory recovery format tool by Panasonic and you can reformat any memory card.

Hi! i can't manage to download large video files from my g7 camera to my laptop.....the transfer just doesn't work.....the video detail on the pc tells me the video is 0 giga .... i don't get it...its not...

I searched the support site of Canon.com for your G7 camera, and it didn't list anything on 3 pages under the search terms 'large video files error.'

If this were happening to me, I would uninstall completely the software that came with the camera, and reinstall the latest drivers and software from the canon.com website.

Canon g7 stopped working, lens out but no power

Most likely a loose screw shorted out the power in the camera. For service on these, we recommend www.CamerasAndParts.com They are the best for service on the Canon Powershots and they are not expensive at all. I'll post a video below from a customer referral for this problem on the G7 to them. They are the place for help with this problem.

Internal flash not firing

Maybe a sensor is bent, telling the camera it still has the external flash attached.
