No, the aspire 1641 is a laptop so there is no pci slot.

Unless you are talking about the am1641, a desktop model. In that case, then yes, you can put a pci graphics card in the pci slot. I would recommend going here to find one.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.

HI Denis,

Unfortunately you cannot change the video card an your laptop, you see its built into the motherboard. There are some high end laptops that use a MXM? slotthat it is possible to change cards and even then its still iffy.
the only real hardware changes you can make to your laptop are the battery, the RAM, and the hardrive.

Can i upgrade my graphics card in my acer aspire z3101-u4062

Usually those little all in ones have onboard memory like a laptop and are ont really intended to be upgraded... however I concur with John B if the PC had a free PCI or PCI-E slot you could pop a video card in there. I did a quick google and it seems this model does not have expansion slots.

I also found this, someone just like you wanted to upgrade the video card, and also could not:

Installing new graphics card need to know which one I need

I'm sorry but you won't get any decent graphic card for this PC. There is integrated intel graphic card and only expansion slots are PCI.
Currently produced cards are mostly PCI-E, you may find some older with AGP however they are rare.

Graphics Card

It looks like, from Acer's website, that the sa90 has a PCIe-x16 graphics card.

To be sure, let's get this program:

Scroll to the bottom for the download link. On the first tab, you'll see Bus interface. That's the type of card you have and the type you should buy to replace yours.

I have a Acer Aspire SA60 R01-B3 do you know if i can change my graphics card on this as i would like to play runescape in hd (high detail) but as i log on my internet closes on me, and is my graphics card...

It has internal graphics....But it also has a AGP Slot.  (Accelerated Graphics Port) To upgrade your Video. Just make sure that you get an AGP Card to go into the Slot. As they make PCI and PCI express cards also..

Graphics card

Hi bob,

Is your onboard video busted? as i check your specs; you have these slots available in your motherboard

2 ( 2 ) x PCI ¦ 1 ( 1 ) x PCI Express x1 ¦ 1 ( 1 ) x PCI Express x16 ¦ 1 ( 0 ) x processor ¦ Memory

base from:

so, you can go to your nearest computer shop and ask them for a videocard that uses PCI Express x16, if its for gaming then go for the higher specs, i can't assist you further with regard to the exact video card model though.
