Go to the control panel, click on the system icon, then hardware tab, then device manager. Look on the list of devices for exclamation marks or question marks - this will indicate the drivers are not loaded or have not been installed or your hardware has malfunctioned.
Try reloading the software for your soundcard.
Information need to make a better determination of how to fix:

Whether your using a sound card or the motherboard outputs, use microsoft.com latest updates to get your drivers for sound up and running. Even with the oldest of computers I fix, all have been turned on this way, haven't had a problem yet.

Music keeps stopping whle playing. How can I fix this problem?

It sounds like the track is still downloading and the music is playing faster than the download speed. You could try pausing while it has loaded.
I find a lot of these streaming sites suffer with the problem. I don't think you can do a lot about it. Unless spending a lot of money on faster broadband etc is your thing.

Sound card?

this could be a result of the software malfunction ...i'm talking about i-tunes,if your computer plays other sounds,it clearly shows that its not a problem with the sound card which is nothing but the hardware for playing sounds in the computer.

for further clarifications revert on this page.

Sound card

Your laptop should have a sound card built into the board. To make sure, check for three round color coded holes anywhere along the edge of your laptop frame and ports. The Sound output is usually green. The sound in is blue and the mic in is red. If you plug in speakers n the green and don't here music, then check to see your SOUND DRIVERS are installed. If they are not no sound will play. The check for Sound drivers, right-click My Computer, then chose HARDWARE and let it list the components. Any one with a yellow mark needs drivers.

Love the system...

The e-mu sure can do it. You just run whatever output you want into the input on the sound board. The setup is exactly the same as if you just wanted to play winamp music on the system.

It's your computer that can't handle it. Computer only has one sound output, so you can't play two separate things in two separate instances of winamp, because the sound only comes out of one place on your laptop.

You can buy a second external sound card, like the SB Live External USB Sound card, and maybe run both at the same time, having one winamp output to the external device, and the other winamp output to the laptop's internal sound card device, then one line runs to your e-mu system and the other to a pair of headphones.

Or you can bring another laptop in ;)
