You need to replace your ethernet controller. If it is built into the motherboard, simply add a pci version to one of your available pci slots and install it.

Cannot get to the internet


What kind of Internet connection do you have

DSL, Fiber, Cable? do you have a modem? Do you have a router? Are you connected via Ethernet cable or wireless?

Hi, when i tried to connect to the internet, it shows "OS error,may be the modem on your remote computer is out of version please solve my problem


you might have to open up your network connections click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red x or a yellow exclamation or question mark you will need to update or install the driver or it could be firewalled
make sure your modem/routers settings are correct ie:password user name,firewall settings to allow your internet to connect also test the lead/s whether usb or ethernet you might check your modem first to make sure that you are getting a connection
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down network adapters + expand Ethernet driver you might see a yellow question mark? This means you need to update the driver right click you will have options to update driver disable uninstall or select properties general you will have the options to troubleshoot or to update driver rollback or uninstall
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver right click to install driver
last resort ring your ISP internet sevice provider get them to check your modem for internet access online

Its seems the internal power supply fails and burned out.... some are saying it is common issue of all d link switching hub? is it possible to use an replacment power supply?..


its not a common issue it the problem from ur building earthing plz chek voltages for this u get i.e, neutal face and earth
in earthing u have to get only below 3 volts in case u get more than that its sure ur problem that ur facing is with voltage variation

I administer a small network for a cab company, and have lately been battling an internal connectivity problem for the last several days. It seems that 2 of the 5 computers on the LAN intermittently "drop" connection without losing their IP addresses. If I disable the network connection on the "dropped" machine, and then immediately re-enable it, it seems to work for anywhere from 5 minutes to a couple of hours, then "drops" again. All LAN IP addresses are configured manually. I've posted an image of the network map at http://www.geekcavecreations.com/images/network_map.gif to illustrate how the LAN is arranged.

The local network has 2 computers that connect to the internet through the DSL router, one for ICS, and the other has an external web server (neither one has connectivity problems).

One computer on the LAN has an internal web server that handles our dispatch program. All computers on the network need to be able to access this box.

The dispatch client has to access the dispatch server, but can't have internet access. It's blocked from the internet through the simple expedient of not having an external DNS server assignment.

Now, for the meat of the problem. I've checked and re-checked the configurations for both the dispatch server and the dispatch client, and find no problems. Both have the most recent drivers for the network cards, and both have new cables. I've swapped out a known good hub for the LAN, and have made sure that there are no mis-configured hosts files. As outlined previously, disabling and enabling the NIC on the offending machine will restore connectivity for a while. I've checked each machine for an overheating problem, just in case, and find no trouble there. All machines are running XP Pro.

I can't shake the feeling that I'm missing something basic and simple, but I'm at a loss as to what that might be. Any suggestions?

go to sart buton the go to control panel then sounds and audio devices
if you click this selection you will find mute check box or try f8 or f9 or f10 for mute.

you need to install a network adapter, configure it correctly - if you want to connect to another computer you need a straight thru ethernet cable - to connect to another computer thru a router, switch, hub or ISP-provided modem you will need the router, etc and a crossover ethernet cable... If you want to just get on the net you will at least need a properly configured network adapter, a crossover ethernet cable and a ISP account and either their modem or yours, depending on their policies... Also 250 Watt would not be sufficient for most new video cards. Most need a 450+ for requirements.

Giga Ethernet is short for Gigabyte Ethernet which allows for more speed if you have a higher speed internet service

Well, they both should work if you go to HP's download and support website and download the appropriate drivers for your associated hardware. Find out what hardware you have by downloading a marvelous freeware program called Belarc advisor. it will list all hardware, software, versions, keys, etc. When you installed the XP frm Siemens, it likely installed drivers compatible with the model it was designed for, rather than your Fujitsu. First, go to control panel, click Hardware and sound, then see what audio device it thinks it has. If it isn't the one your motherboard was designed for, find out what motherboard you have with Belarc, then download the audio device which works with it at the HP website. Whew. Let me know how it goes.
