Microsoft office word requires the file msointl.dll to run

I have got sooo many important word files and I've had loads of problems today.
Earlier a pop-up ket on appearing saying that I was running out of disk space and needed to delete some files. deleted files that I didn't think i needed. However, since then, Word 2007 won't open. It says "Microsoft Office Word requires the file msointl.dll to run"

Can anyone suggest a way of fixing this. I have all my work files, partner's business files and uni files on it!!
Please?

Thanks!

This seems to be an issue when we have a Trial MSOffice 2007 installed but want to use MSOffice 2003, yet we cannot seem to remove the MSOffice 2007 due to some "language pack missing"stuff... what a headache...

Exactly the same - I downloaded the trial version of word 2007, I cannot now remove it and I get the same error message all the time. It is a pain. I have tried to download a fix but without any success.

HI Ishan,

It seems that while you were deleting a file that was needed got tossed as well. You will need to reinstall Word for that program to run again.

If you dont have access to a microsoft office program disk or dont want to buy it dont worry too much theres a free open office program (not microsoft) that works just as good if not better (cause its free).

I use it and its great you can find it here

How to run msointl.dll

dll files are not made to run on it's own they are part of a program and run in itself as a system file for that program. It helps the exe to run any event described in the exe encoding. In case you are getting an error in operating system that means that particular dll has corrupted and now you require to repair your operating system. In case it's a program then you are required to uninstal that program and re-install it.

Microsoft office word requires the file msointl.dll to run. run setup again to assure proper installation.

On occasion the installation may become corrupted for a variety of reasons.

To fix it you just do a REPAIR install of MS OFFICE.

just place your CD in the computer and it should start up and select INSTALL
It will check that you have a copy of office and then offer the REPAIR option

If it does not start up from the CD browse to the CD and select SETUP and run that.

Have your registration number handy too as on occasion it has been known to ask for it.

Microsoft office excel give massage error file msointl.dll

You're missing the MicroSoft Office INTernationaLization library. Either uninstall/reinstall Office, or try a Repair installation, or try exiting Office (and OSA Toolbar also), and download this file

http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/M/MSOINTL.DLL/11.0.5516/download.html

to put it into C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. See if it helps. Some more files might be missing and you'll only discover that after msointl.dll loads and complains in turn.

I need msointl.dll

If your missing msointl.dll then it's quite likely that you are missing service pack 1. You can get it here, it service pack 1) contains what you need. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/871266

Don't go looking just for msoint.dll it's an integral part of Service pack one. Read the directions on the link I sent you to get it. Good Luck!
