Honeywell thermostat problem

Hello,
I just moved into a house built in 2002 by Ryland homes with a digital Honeywell thermostat. Sometimes, mainly at night, the thermostat will flash the time, and the air will stop. I have to turn press the "mode" button to "off", then back to "heat", for the air to come back on. I think it may be prior programming kicking in becaue it also displays a different temp than what I set. Do you think it is the programming or something else. Where would I get the model # on the device, and how can I learn how to program it?

House lights dim when ac comes on since new honeywell thermostat installed. Is this ok?

Hello,

This is to tell you that the new installed honeywell thermostat as high voltage capacity, it is ok, it is not good enough, though, it as no much effect on your lighting points, but you can get a technician to see if there is a way to adjust the voltage at the thermostat.

Take care.

Thermostat wont shut off?

either the thermostatic spring the micro switch is mounted and is defective and is not moving to change micro switch position to cycle furnace or the contacts have welded themselves, try, with unit off tapping on thermostat and running it from low to hi a couple of times and see if this solves your porblem, you can remove outer ring and see the thermostatic coil and turn it and see if the mercury inside the micro switch makes and break the connection

A/C not turning on - Digital screen is blank

Your honeywell should have battery back up but the primary power for this is a 24 volt transformer located in the air handler probably in your attic. All these controls run on 24 volts

It is possible the relay on the zone board is bad, You can test the thermostat if you own a voltage meter. It is possible for the thermostat to display and still be bad.
