Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer

Washer quits working. Let it set for a few hours then it works

The tub is full of water and turning the selector switch sevral times does not help. It is like I lost power. Letting it set for a few (3) hours it will start working. I was wondering if the pump is plugged and the water can't drain very fast would this cause the pump to over heat and we have to wait for the reset to kick back in? How can one easily unplug the pump if indeed a sock or something else has gotten into the pump?

You may have overheating motor ..once the motor gets hot it will shut off after cooling down it may restart..overheat may be due to bad motor ,wiring or timer ..sometimes the timer will cause the motor to try to run in both speeds at the same time thus overheating if motor sounds heavy during run suspect this may be reason

Whirlpool Washer model # LSN1000KQ0 overfilling

did you plug the hose back into the water level switch, double check to see if it is plugged, if it is your water level switch might be defective. trouble shoot by taking the front panel off... turn on the washer by using the timer, set water level to small...on the bottom of the tub housing there should be a nipple where the clear hose connects onto.....follow the clear hose from the switch down to the bottom of the tub.........disconnect the clear hose on the bottom of the tub.....plugg the nipple with your finger.........gently blow into the hose with your mouth.......but make sure the water level in the tub is at least at half way full...and the washer is on and filling up with water ...after you blow into the hose the washer should agitate.......if it does agitate your water level switch is defective...connect hose back........get your model number and source for the switch.........

Gcxrpo9odoww GE washer .. On fill up, it over flows onto floor?

Fill switch could be bad, or fill tube could be plugged making water not stop and it keeps filling. The fill tube goes from fill load selector switch to bottom of tub. Remove from top and blow it out. If this doesnt work replace water load size selector switch.

Overfills with water

Load selector switch is either plugged or needs to be replaced. There is a tube connected to load selector switch and goes to washer tub. Disconnect from top and blow out, gets clogged with soap. If this doesnt work then replace load selector switch.

Wash cycle won't start after the tub fills up with water.

There's no delicate or regular spin or agitation If your washer doesn't spin or agitate on either the delicate or regular cycle, check these:

Selector switch
Clutch assembly
Drive motor
Selector switch If your washer has a selector switch on the control panel, make sure the button for your selection is pressed all the way in, or set properly.

Clutch assembly Many GE®/Hotpoint® washers use a clutch and an automatic shift lever. This assembly is quite complicated. If there's a problem with it, you probably should contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

Drive motor Many washing machines have multiple-speed drive motors. Though it's uncommon, the drive motor may work fine on one speed but not on another. If the drive motor has failed on one speed, you need to replace the entire motor.

Hi I fixed the problem by removing the filter at the bottom right hand corner of the washing machine and removing 2 x £1 coins that had got stuck there

Kenmore 90 series heavy duty washer

If it fills up to normal level on other settings then the water selector switch is bad.

Look at the back side of this switch and you should see a tube connected from the switch to the lower part of the tub. Take the tube loose at the switch and blow through to check for any blockage. Look at the tube for holes.

Maytag stacked washer/dryer Model LS7804

OK it may be one of 2 things. I would check the lid switch first. On some maytags the have a lid switch that if it is not working properly it will not let the washer fill. If it will not fill the washer will not wash because the pressure switch did not activate the timer to wash. If the switch checks good you might have a bad timer. If you open the control panel you will find a tech sheet with the wiring diagram. I would follow the fill cycle and check the components. You might also check the water valve to make sure its ok too. But its very rear that both the hot and cold would go at the same time. Good luck!

Maytag Atlantis MAV6257AWW

I have a Maytag Atlantis MAV6257AWW. I need to replace the transmission. So I removed all four screws from the inner tub but I couldnt get the inner tub pull out, it's stuck.

From what I read on here, the seal nut doesn't have to be remove in order to remove the inner tub.

I tried every, I even hammer the shaft down from the inside of the tub but still no luck. Can someone help, thanks.
