Stupid blank screen on my Craptop

Hey. I have a crappy Syntax.. I believe it's the Valuebook VT5000 pc notebook. Anyhow, I can turn it on, everything whurrs and makes all the "right" noses" along with all the "right" lights coming on.. but the screen is blank. I read other posts of people with blank screens, but this is different. It never comes on.. but it IS on.. It's not black, it's actually lit up.. So it's a blank white screen. I assume this is an internal issue? But I can hope not.. PLEASE HELP

Could be a simple video driver problem, try starting up your laptop in safe mode (Pressing F8 on boot up). If and when screen comes up highlight 'Start Windows in Safe Mode' Next a list of startup drivers etc will stream down the screen and tell you you are starting in safe mode, allow this. If your lcd screen stays on then it's a driver problem, go to add/remove programmes and uninstall driver the driver and restart your laptop. This should then start in VGA mode all icons will be bigger than normal. Either re-install video drivers from setup/restore disk or go to laptops manufacturer website to download drivers. If no screen even in safe mode LCD probably dead. Please rate solution.
