Well, There would be two ways to uninstall :-

1. Install registry mechanic and run. It will automatically remove all the registry errors and later on you wld be able to uninstall webroot spy sweep.

2. Download any of the uninstall software available in the market. Whenever you uninstall a software using the uninstallers, they always make sure that it wld not affect your computer.

These uninstallers are easily available on the download.com, brothersoft.com.

One of the links :-

Hope u wld be able to uninstall webroot. :)

Take care ba bye.

sounds like you have a virus on your computer. scan your computer. you may even need some spyware.. They are very different things. Spysweeper is good, doesn't use much memory. You can download search and destroy. that is another good one.

Ijust paid for and downloaded webroot antivirus it will not sweep. I KEEP GETTING message that it is closing and also 4 critical shields are off i cannot turn them on

It may be that another virus program is interfearing with Webroot, I used it for a couple of years and liked it, but what happens with many of these antivirus programs is that they make them so sensitive that any other trojen virus or spyware can set them off or prevent them from running. Try disabling any other protection you have and see if it runs, unplug from the net prior to doing this. Also you have to enable web root in your firewall or that will stop active scripts, Let me know, I know it's difficult to reach a specific techs, but I will try my best to follow you thru the system, Peace Gym

Go HERE and run Trend Micro Housecall on your PC. It will get rid of the viruses and spyware. Sounds like you've been hijacked.

It's your Webroot Spy Sweeper that's having problems - it may be related to your antivirus or firewall (try updating them), or if you're using Vista there's an incompatibility with the automatic update. Some of the possibilities can be found on Webroot's support site -

http://support.webroot.com/

Start with updating Spy Sweeper to the latest version (by manual update) and then branch out.
