Couple different ways -
1- get a recording device from Radio Shack that plugs into the handset to record calls and playback to record.
2. If you have a computer record it through your windows operating system
3. use your cell phone and record it

Then you can download it as a recorded file into anything you desire.

Which light on what model Uniden cordless phone?

If it's the message light, then you have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

I have lost my manual and i dont know how to record a personal message on my answering machine and how to enter the code to retrieve my messages from another phone.

From your handset, you just have to press the mute button, your phone should start telling you the time, date, ect. press the #5 key and then the #8 key and start recording your message. When finished press the # 8 key again. Hope this helps
