Asus F3S Laptop Graphics Card Died

I've been playing a game on my laptop called Lord of the Rings Online without any faults, when recently, the graphics card would stop working momentarily and then recover successfully. This would happen 1 to 2 times per gaming session, but this increased to about 3-4 over a week. Then near the end of that week, after i came home from work i started up counter strike and my computer completely crashed. It rebooted and so i thought stupidly i would give it another go (lol)...
It crashed again and on this startup it came up with a blue screen error message. It now will not start up normally, but has to be in safe mode (without the graphics card doing its business). Also if i uninstall the graphics card driver it runs fine using the onboard basic graphics card thingy. I've replaced the driver for it and that has not worked.
There must be someone who can help me sort this out? I've ran out of options. I don't think i can replace the graphics card also as its propper glued into place. =S
This is an awesome laptop and i really don't want to have to splash out on another laptop this soon after buying it.
Anyone have any ideas?

Tried using an external monitor and that did not work. It once again came up with the blue dots all over the screen when entering windows. Any other solutions? Or will i have to just send it back to get it fixed again lol. =(

(the first problem was caused by the laptop starting to over heat apparently, and it wouldn't start... as well as that a crack appeared in the case when opening the lid up... maybe this laptop is just destined to die. lol)

I've just been looking around on the internet. Is it true that all NVIDIA graphics cards are faulty? Something to do with heat cycles or something like that.

Oh and thanks for the quick response time, gonna send it away tomorrow to get it fixed. Also i'm thinking i might as well grab this opportunity to buy a better laptop anyway.

    Thanks :)

If you have run the laptop in safe mode it uses the standard VGA graphics driver, and this indicates the onboard graphics card is still functioning.
Try connecting and external monitor to your laptop and the boot up your laptop.
Then :-
1. Download the latest graphics driver from ASUS WEB site.
2. uninstall the graphics driver.
3. Reboot the laptop and install the new graphics driver.
4. Shut down and remove the external monitor and reboot.
5. Goto the Control panel - Display and check/set the settings for screen resolution, Colour setting etc.

    Hi Lucas,

It appears that you have a faulty video graphics chip on the laptop, You need to send it to ASUS to get your laptop fixed or replaced.

If the cracked case/lid only damaged the LCD screen then connecting the laptop to an external monitor, it would display normal images.

My screen blacked out using a game and won't come back on. I tried holding the ON button for a long time but it still doesn't come on. It is fully charged.

Some games require graphics card to be able to perform on enhanced level, if the screen blacks out during playing the game then it could be a driver corruption or registry issues..

Are you able to connect to the internet through another device (TV, Blu-ray player, gaming console, computer/laptop, etc)? If so, how do you connect? I believe it's asking you for your network password, in order to connect to your network, which if you do not know, you can work with your Internet Service Provider, or call Asus Support for further assistance.

How to install a game on my samsung galaxy tab?

Well, there is a place called "Android Market" or similar.

If your desired game can be found there, simply download and install the game app and you can enjoy the fun.

If the game can't be found, or it requires a fee to play. You'll probably need to root the device. Here is a 1-click Android-Root solution for your reference.

Generally the OS does not support JAVA, but there are forums out there dedicated to making ROMS and OS manipulations for this specific tablet.
As for asking for phone service when downloading, it sounds like you've missed a setting somewhere, the tablet is looking for service when it should be using the WIFI or whatever you are using to download things.

    No power

It will only heat up if power is being used, but it could also mean that the adapter is bad.

check with a multi tester inside for red and outside for black, check to see if you are getting at least 15 volts or higher voltage.

make sure you set the multitester to VDC, Thats Direct Current Voltage or DC voltage.

if you are getting power thru the adpater head try wiggling the tip a bit to see if theres a broken wire inside the head Adapter head tends to break at the tip sometimes.

if your getting power then you might have a broken adapter plug in the laptop, you might a suitable adapter plug at a electronic store or ebay, might need or reqiure some soldering on the board if you dont know how to solder i suggest you leave it to the PRO's.

if no power coming from the adapter then time to replace the adapter, i figure adapter last about 1-2 years before they need replacing due to wear and tear and neglect. If you do not take care of your electronics they will not take care of you!.

    Good luck
