Question about Kenmore 40494 / 40495 / 40499 Electric Single Oven
Our Kenmore oven is going nuts - keeps locking and showing F1 - kept beeping and no buttons would stop it. I had something baking in the oven and heard a loud bang and then it started locking and beeping. Had to finally unplus it. This is a Kenmore self-cleaning oven - we have no manual. Thanks.
Kenmore self cleaning oven model 790.9520 : heating element stays on even after the stove beeps that it has reached the target temp'. then it will give more beeps. Had to unplug it to get it to stop

The bang may have been an element arcing over. Turn off the power and remove the element. If it shows any form of damage, replace it. If you're not sure, use a continuity checker to check it. If you have two elements...do this for both. You will likely find the problem.
