Kenmore Oven going crazy

Our Kenmore oven is going nuts - keeps locking and showing F1 - kept beeping and no buttons would stop it. I had something baking in the oven and heard a loud bang and then it started locking and beeping. Had to finally unplus it. This is a Kenmore self-cleaning oven - we have no manual. Thanks.

Baking a roast, beeper going off, displays f1. Turned oven off - to let cool - and tried again. Beeper going off, displays f1. Is there a short in the electrical system? Do not have manual - range was in house when we moved here four years ago.

The bang may have been an element arcing over.  Turn off the power and remove the element.  If it shows any form of damage, replace it.  If you're not sure, use a continuity checker to check it.  If you have two elements...do this for both.  You will likely find the problem.

How do I fix my oven door keeps locking up and F1 comes up and starts beeping

Here is a detailed description of this error code. Your control can be rebuilt by fixyourboard.com. See article here on Kenmore/GE F1 Error Code: Oven Failure After Self Clean and F1 Errors

F3e2 error

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

My oven wont stop beeping at me and showing F1. It keeps saying something about the self-cleaning. I've tried unplugging it and pressing all the buttons. It stops for a couple seconds and then starts

It has an issue with the thermostat, a temporary solution for my oven was to restart the oven and it would work for a little bit.

What does the error code F1 indicate, on a Wolf Oven?

I had the same problem with a Wolf L-Series double wall oven (Model DO30) and called for service (under extended warranty contract). The tech told me that the F1 error is a latch problem (you know the one that grabs and locks the door during self-clean cycles). He cleared the error using a series of "secret" button presses on the control panel and the problem cleared. Now, when it happens (which isn't very frequently), I do the same thing he did ... press "0" and "Temperature" for the oven causing the problem and hold them for about 5 seconds. The oven will ding and the display will show some diagnostics, including the error event. Press "Cook Time" and "Stop Time" while in this diagnostic mode to clear the error register, then press "Off". I've also tried to keep the area across the top of the oven opening clean (with a little degreaser), especially around the latch, and I've sprayed a bit of WD-40 into the latch periodically for lubrication and cleaning.

I have Fridigaire double oven part# PLEB27T8ACA with F8 code prob

wow, that is so weird...i was just getting ready to write the exact same thing. this last time mine beeped, i just kept letting it beep for several minutes. if kept on. i then went in and pressed all the buttons except for cancel and nothing happened. then i pressed the oven light button. the beeping stopped. not sure if it's coincidence or if that was what i was supposed to press. i will keep messing with the buttons and let you know if i figure it out. i will dread if it beeps all night long.

Error f1 and beeping sound when the oven is on. Heating non stop.

Your digital panel may still be under warranty. It may be worth your while to have a tech look at it. Something else is going on here.

My kenmore oven is beeping and will not stop. the display shows F-1.

Please use the chart to determine which stove you have. You will have to look at the model number. The first 3 numbers will be the series on the chart. In most cases an F1 error would require replacment of the electronic control. This part is commonly refered to as an EOC or ERC. However this type of repair is usually reserved for repair specialists.

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes – 362 Series (General Electric)
F1 = Stuck Touch Pad Key - Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 911 Series (General Electric/Roper)
F0-F1-FF = Failed transistor in Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes- 665 Series (Whirlpool)
F1-E0 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E1 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E2 U/L ERC Errors - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E3 Fuel Type Fail

Kill power 30 seconds-Cancel-Start/Enter-5 seconds-Should see “E” for electric-
“9” for gas-If code changes again-replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 790 Series Electronic Oven Control (Frigidaire)
F1 = Shorted Touch Pad = Electronic Range Control (EOC) Internal checksum error.
Runaway Temp = Replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

Kill power 30 seconds - if error returns - replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).
