Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router
One computer in our home network gets a strong signal but cannot connect the the internet, even when right next to router. Other computers in home connect fine. This one computer can get another wireless signal in out home area, just not ours. Seemed to happen after a Norton AV update / scan.
Set the wireless channel for you router to the maximum level and save the changes

Tips for a great answer:
Had same problem - said signal weak although strong on other devices, and hung on authenticating.
Cordless phone on base unit was beside wireless router. Moved unit and turned off phone. Problem disappeared, and signal showed strong.
