Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
This is a continue of the last one. I got the charger and it works but it does not charge. I think i shortcircuited the battery.I was looking for cords that might charge it, and plugged a cord ( dont know what) into the headphone jack. It dimmed the lights in my house so i unplugged it. My friend said he bought a new battery but im not exactly sure if he did or not. Could that be why it wont charge? Please help, i really dont want to have to play it with the charger all the time but if i have to i will it doesnt matter i just would like to know. Thanks!

The polarity of the charger you used is wrong or the wrong voltage, and has messed up the programming n the battery. You may be lucky if you get a new battery and use the Right charger, It might fix it. Sony put a battery in the PSP that has a memory chip in it, and I think it will automatically disconnect if the wrong vooltage hits it, or wrong polarity. be warned that I have seen where someone got a new battery and it did not solve the problem. If this happens to you Contact Sony at the following number.
