Use a memory card with a generic USB card reader. Getting camera drivers to work is no fun.

The device for my cameras sim card has disappeared on my computer. It was always there before. Can't post pics.

try to restore your program's on the computer. Could be just a defective driver for the USB device, or just a wrong bit in the goto software. Reinstalling the software should solve the problem.

On conecting with pc system is not detecting it

First make sure that your USB port on your computer is working by testing a different device to see if your computer can detect it.
Second plug in your camera, turn it on and put it in review mode.
If your computer still isn't seeing the camera then try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers which should have come on a CD in the box with the camera.

In the first place make sure that the PC is free of any driver softwares. If not uninstall the webcam drivers with the webcam disconnected, then reinstall the webcam and then connect the web cam as it will be detected as a new hardware and installed.

I cannot get ther pictures off of my camera and onto my computer

The important thing is, did you install the CD FIRST, and then connect the camera? If you did it in the reverse order, the drivers for the camera will be loaded wrong and need to be removed and reinstalled.
Removing a driver:
If you have done the faux pas above, all the installs in the world will not fix it. You MUST remove the USB driver. Use Device Manager. In XP, this is found by right clicking my computer and selecting properties. In properties select the hardware tab and choose 'Device Manager'.

Stop here. If you have no idea what I wrote, review 'Device Manager' on the Windows Website or ask a KNOWLEDGABLE friend for help. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310123.

Now, select the USB device, while it is plugged in to the USB port, and right click. Select 'Uninstall'. Remove your USB device when device manager is done.

Close Device manager and all the other windows. Start your USB install from scratch, without the USB plugged in untill the install asks or completes.
I have ALWAYS had successful installs with this method.

Camera window keeps telling me that the camera is not detected

How about try these again

1- Uninstall all of the software related to Canon.
2- Install the drivers for your Canon ONLY.
3- After installing the drivers, plug your camera to a different USB port. (test your USB is working okay by connecting another USB device)
4- TURN YOU CAMERA ON
5- The drivers for your camera will be installed.
6- After it is finished, click start, then computer. Now you should have one Icon starting with canon.....
If you see this icon, double click on it. You will find one or more folders which contain the pictures stored in your camera. You may now download, delete Etc.

You either have not done above steps correctly, or your cable or your USB port is bad.

Good Luck!!!!!!

My computer doesn't detect my finepix s602zoom

I have not had this problem, but I always use a card reader to upload my photos.
It saves on wear and tear on the small usb socket on the side of the camera. I can't see any reason to use a cable if all I need is to upload photos.

Can't get my computer (win xp) to detect my finepix camera

Sounds like there is no connection between your camera and your pc.
Try another USB port on your PC.
You actually do not require a driver for XP.
XP will automatically detect the camera. SP2 + 3
If all fails, get a card reader.
