Question about Televison & Video

Tv troubleshooting My tv just shut off by itself, and now I can't turn it on, and it has an electronic beeping sound coming from it, any ideas ? My Sharp 32" flat screen tv (Model 32F631) shut off by itself and gives this wierd repeating electronic clicking sound. I can't turn it back on. I've unplugged it and plugged it back in after several hours, and it's still the same. Won't turn on and continues with clicking noise.

My Sanyo TV (Modele # DP42840) has a problem?

It sounds like the power supply inside the TV is failing. You can try disconnecting everything that is plugged into the back of it EXCEPT the power cord and one source cord (ie: the cable or HDMI from your video source (like the cable box.))

If that doesn't help, then an electronics technician would have to troubleshoot the internal power supply.

Dryer starts about 45 seconds into the cycle lights come on and then it starts beeping like the end of the cycle. 10 seconds later off. Very warm on top of the machine.

See my tip for buzzing dryer. Check Owner's manual, Troubleshooting. Sounds like air is not moveing and High temp cut off saftey switch doesn't like the lack of air flow. Duct clean? Check air flow from the outdoor vent. Clean vent tube/s

Psu wont turn on

Test the PSU. Unplug it from the motherboard and then with nothing connected, short the green wire to any ground (usually a black) using a paperclip and it should come on and stay on if the problem was with the motherboard/computer but if it shuts down, then you know the problem is the PSU itself.

If the PSU stays on under no load, then one possibility is you had too much connected to it and it shut down as a protective feature. The Bios would not beep if the PSU is shutting itself down. Also make sure you have the internal speaker connected. It's possible you just can't hear the beep because there is no speaker connected or it may be connected to the wrong place.

Don't throw away a defective power supply. It is worth a couple bucks as parts for an electronics enthusiast. Keep it out of the landfill.

I'm getting an electronic beep sound at times, when it happens it sounds about every 30 seconds to a minute. I've turned the sound off and I still hear it, so it's not coming from any programs. Any ideas?

Your hearing an error code of some sort. Look in your owners manual , in the troubleshooting guide it will translate the code for you. Listen for the pattern to match up with the problem.

Samsung HL-S5679W No video No sound

all 3 leds on the front panel blinking = lamp error.
if the tv doesn't come on, it may not put sound to the speakers.
you need to focus on the error at hand.. does the tv come up and appear that it is running and not turning itself off (shutting down)?
if it runs and doesnt turn off, then the audio matters, otherwise focus on the other problems.. you won't have audio on certain inputs, etc, don't use that to troubleshoot unless your tv is running and not shutting down.

TV shut off will not stay on.

Sounds as though you have a video problem. It may be the convergence chips. The TV is shutting down do to a default in the circuit ( the set knows there is an error of somekind so it shuts down to protect itself). This is a problem that needs a pro trouble shooter since it could be in about any board. Sorry I couldn't help more
