SOURCE: my amp powers up but no signal from it its not

Check your subwoofer for an open line, it may have blown. The voice coil must have resistance. Also, check the wiring inside the box, and from the box to the amp, as well as the RCAs going from the head unit to the amplifier. It all of these connections are fine, send the amplifier in for repairs.

Can anyone help

What size is the amp and how many watts is the speaker(s) you have it ran too? If your speakers are trying to pull too much power from the amp it will turn itself into protect mode to keep from blowing a fuse as well as if you are pushing to many watts into small small speakers it will do the same to protect from blowing the speakers I would recommend turning the settings on the amp down slightly and then trying it out also make sure your wires arnt crossed adjusting the setting as it plays is the easiest way to fix the problem also make sure the bass isn't all the way up on your head unit

My NAD C326BEE amp goes into protection mode at moderate volume

The protection only should come on, when the power amplifier has to give more current than it can deliver. (electronic fuse)
If in the music is a lot of subsonic, sound, so low you can't hear and your speakers can't produce, this could cause the problem. Normal CD players will cut of all frequencies beneath 20 Hz, but it could be your PC is giving everything from 1 Hz and above.
I would certainly try to play some music over a CD player and check if that would solve your problem. Not sure if that works, what you could do to suppress the sub sonic in the computer music.

Well i was driving one day and my subs just whent out so i bought brand new wires and hooked everything up but the power protector light turns red whenever uu turn it up past volume 10 i really do not know...

It sounds like your amp is going into protection. I know it's frustrating, but this is actually a good thing. If you subs you have are drawing too much power and the amp can't keep up, it will shut off instead of melting the board. Usually, the protection mode only last a few seconds. The user normally turns the music down that the protection shuts off and the music plays again. I recommend looking at a larger amp for your subs, if you are going to play them that hard.

I wanna supplied my Amplifier Lanzar MNX 250 with an 12V - 30 Ohm battery, but the led of my amplifier is red and my speaker doesn't play music. How can I fix the "protect mode" in which the...

  1. The battery is 12 volts and Ohms has nothing to do with your amp installation.
  2. Was the amp running and got hot? Many times an amp will go into "thermal mode" when used for an extended amount of time and need to cool down but I assume if you are trying to hook it up you were not using it.
  3. You need to check the ground wire real well. A loose ground will cause protect mode.
  4. Recheck the speaker wires and their connections. If they cross this to can cause protection mode.
  5. This is a 4 Ohm amp, are your speakers 4 ohm or lower> If not then you may be running to low of a load to your amplifier.
  6. I always remove everything from the amp first and power it on and then add wires and see where which connection throws the amp into power mode.
  7. Check the fuse as well but if the LED is on chances are your fuse is good.
  8. If you check all of the items I listed and the amp still goes into protect mode then your amp is bad.

Amp has power, turns on with stereo, but sub isnt playing... all connections are good.. whats wrong?

if you have a protection light that is on it means the amp is in protection mode and wont allow any power to the sub this usually happens when the sub or wiring shorts out or if there is an internal failure in the amp or if its overheating. check the wires and connections and test your sub on another amp.

Hi i have problems with my subwoofer it wont play it's an alpine 12'' type e with alpine mrp m350 amp. there is light on the amp. how do I find out my subwoofer is blown or what else can be...

ok, your amp is in protect mode. either the speaker wires are crossed and shorting out, your woofer's vioce coils are melted and the speaker is blown or the amp is dead.

to determine if the speakers voice coils are melted, and thus the speaker being blown is the reason for the "protect" light, simply push in the cone of the woofer in gently with your hand. the woofer should move a little more than an inch, without any resistance, before bottoming out. if there feels to be any resistance, like a rubbing or scratching, before the woofer bottoms out, then your voice coils are fried, and you need a new woofer.

My amp is a kenwood kac-9152d it goes in to protection mode soon as you hook up the power

In protection mode do you mean the light comes on and it plays music and stuff? If that's the case, that's what the amp is supposed to do. Protect itself from a power surge

My boss amp is on protection mode and it wont work its a 3500 watt chaos idk what is wrong with it

Likely one of the power amps has failed component(s) and does not achieve electrical balance which then goes to protect mode to prevent damaging your speakers.

You will need to have it serviced.

Kenwood amp kac-x401m

How long will the bass play before the amp kicks into protection mode and how loud are you listening to it? I've noticed with my amps that if they don't have enough air flow they will get hot and kick into protection mode. They will also kick into protection mode if you are running it at more than it can handle. Check your adjustments on both your amp and the head unit. Make sure you are not running more bass than the amp can handle.
