The volume on a new Durabrand CD Home Music System (HM3817DT) defaults to a really loud volume every time the stereo is turned on. The volume is too loud for me as it is, but the stereo was purchased for my newborn's room for lullabye's and it is totally unacceptable. Is there any way to override or change the default volume level so we don't get blasted by very loud music every time the stereo is turned on? Thanks for any help you can provide!

I have an old technics SAEH750. I can't remember how to turn off demo mode and how to preset radio stations Can U help please?
Same problem here too. I see no solution, so I'm going to return it to Walmart, and get a similar Coby model (online - not in stores) that's received good reviews.
I have the same problem. I took it back to the store and got a replacement only to find out that it does the same thing. I'm going to continue to search the net for corrective action.......I hope.
