recalibrate the printhead, clean the printhead. In the printer driver you need to select the right paper.

I have a hp dv1331se labtop and the fan need to be replaced

Below is the link to your service manual, ir is free to make and save copies as well as print. The disassembly procedure starts on chapter 5. Good luck, just make sure you keep track of the screws. It is always good practice to take pictures as you go or if you have a digital camera that takes avi movies, you can film the process, that way you can back track.

I have two shadows that show up in my pictures in the same place. Tried to clean the lens that didn't help. Any ideas????

you have dust on your ccd... this is really bad... its something i can't recommend trying to fix at home... its so easy to get more dust in there... so if you really like the camera take it to a repair shop?

i had a dust shadow on a camera i really liked ... it was on the top half of the image and always looked terrible... so i started taking pictures with camera UPSIDE DOWN ... you could hardly ever see the shadows on the darker background....

rate if helpful, good luck

My printer is printing pictures with lines on them

When you get lines that usually means a memory problem. Well it usually means the picture is too big for the memory. Try setting the quality down a few notches and see if the picture improves.

sometimes the problem is on the PC end and it is doing to much. Shut down or turn off everything you can before printing.

If you have a really old slow computer it can be a combination of cpu and ram on the pc.

Usuallu turning down the quality fixes this everytime. The advertising is a bit decpetive as you think you can print picture quality on a full size page but in fact it only has enough ram to do it properlly on a much smaller size.

hello babu,
the problem is not with the printer, problem is with your general knowledge, to print on cd/dvd surface means you have to stick the sticker (cd label sticker) on the cd, then put the cd on the printer to print.
ok
bye bye
hope u will soon understand......

NO PICTURE

The bulb is bad, replace it, you cannot test the bulb. You can test the inverter circuit, but you will need a service manual and the knowledge on how to work on and trouble shoot solid state printed circuit boards. Good Luck

Uniontrip, im afraid you have a problem some other 3 illion other rear tube projection set owners face or will face in the near future. Its called a convergence problem. You see there are Two IC's inside this set that correct the alighnment of the three picture tube alighnment to each other to get a steady straight picture. To fix this problem, both IC's should be replaced together as a whole, even if its only one IC bad now, you can bet your bottom dollar, down the road, the other will go bad as well. If you have any solid state repair experience and know how to unsolder and solder printed circuit boards, this is not really a difficult job to do, as they are two black IC's standing up against a metal heatsink and the lettering on them will start with STK###-###, the # being other numbers. Now since these are solid state sets and they really have noi USER replaceable parts inside them, it is always best for the non experienced to refer to a trained repair technician to do this sort of repair. Most of the time, a repair such as this, should not exceed a couple to a few hundred bucks. Good luck. Please do not forget to rate this thread.
