Question about Dell Inspiron 1100 Notebook
The tech guys fixed my computer after it crashed, and I noticed there is no sound on it anymore! I think they installed a new motherboard or something but I have downloaded the soundcard more then once and still nothing. HELP!
It is possible the repair tech left the speaker cable disconnected from the connector on the motherboard. If you don't find a software fix or as asish_shrm suggested try an external speaker or headset.

Please varify that the sound is not set to mute.....check the volume control dial on the side of the notbook where the sound jacks are...verify its not set to minimum....
do you just rely on your pc speakers have you tried with an external speaker.....
keep me posted....and please don't forget to vote if this works for you
