Question about KVM Switches

Intellinet KVM Switch Hotkey Problem

I have the Intellinet 2-port USB with audio KVM switch which came with no documentation at all. I have seen some posts about other Intellinet KVM switches on here, but they seem to be a little different. It is model 500869.

Anyway, I have two problems. The first is that is uses the ctrl key to change pc's. I use the ctrl key regularly with my work and every other time I hit the key it inadvertenly switches to the othe pc. I hope there is a way to change the hotkey to a differnt key to avoid thi.

The other problem is the fact that it won't recognize my mouse as the Logitech MX700 cordless mouse. I can't map all of the buttons.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Cannot invoke hotkey function to switch computers .Directions say use num loc key plus minus key and release num loc but this doesnt work.

Make sure your keyboard and mouse are plugged into the correct usb slots on the switch. One is labled for keyboard, and the other for mouse. If you mix these up, those hotkeys will not work! :) Also, a much better hotkey for this switch is to tap scroll-lock twice. This automatically switches, so you don't have to hit multiple buttons.

I have an iogear usb kva switch connected to two PCs (one desktop; one laptop). It used to work fine with a wireless keyboard (HP), but after I replaced it, it stopped allowing me to switch between PCs...

Hi ther. make sure that you connect them to the correct port. If using a wireless keyboard, connect the receiver to the keyboard port. check underneath for the keyboard icon. Make sure that the receiver is connected to that port.

NexxTech mini KVM switch - hotkey required to switch

Hit scroll lock twice quickly (within 2 seconds) then either "1" or "2" to select the input you want. I needed to remember how to do this myself today since I haven't used this KVM in years, having replaced it with a 4-port ages ago.

Hold down the Scroll Lock key for several seconds. The switch should beep briefly and blink. Hit either the "1" or "2" key on your keyboard to switch to the corresponding computer connection.

Belkin (F1DK102P) 2-port KVM Switch freezes

We have the same model and the same problem. The scroll lock combo did not work for us. You need to press Ctrl, Ctrl then up or down arrow.

The manual was a load of old Tom *** as it did not mention this.
