If the oil level is low, add oil to the engine to bring the level up to the FULL mark on the dipstick. DO NOT overfill the crankcase. Use the type of oil viscosity specified in the vehicle owners manual. Dyno-Scanner If the oil pump is bad (does not produce adequate pressure), the oil pump will have to be replaced. On most engines, the oil pump is located inside the oil pan on the bottom of the engine. The pan must be removed to replace the pump. This may require raising the engine and/or removing steering or suspension components that are in the way so the pan can be removed. On other engines, the oil pump is located inside the timing cover on the front of the engine. Disassembly required removing most of the components on the front of the engine to access the pump. If oil pressure is low because of worn engine bearings, the crankshaft bearings will have to be replaced. This usually requires overhauling or replacing the engine.

The oil pump can be changed without pulling the engine.
The impressive looking thing is the balance shaft assembly. These counter-rotating shafts balance out the inherent vibration of the engine. You can remove it, as long as you do not disrupt the gear placements relationship to each other. The balance assembly is set to a specific point.

well its been a while sense i have done one of thies, but i believe you have to unbolt both motor mounts and jack engine up as far as you can to get the pan off. if you can't get the pan off after you got engine jacked up as far as you can, you will have to unbolt front pump and take them both out at one time. and samething when you put it back together.if anything the picup tube is what will give you trouble, thats why you have to unbolt the pump.

pan removal requires hanging the motor with a sling and dropping the subframe ...it's a bear but pump and pan can be removed. silicone clogging the pick-up is common

Sounds like an ignition component failure check for proper resistance through primary and secondary ignition coil windings, refer to service repair manual for exact specs, also the ignitor magnetic pick up may be not up to snuff, the only other ignition component to replace or check is the ignition module and/or plug wires themselves, sometimes when extreme demand is put on the ignition system the plug wires must be high quality and completely isolated from one another. Spark plug wires when routing cannot come in contact with one another in the slightest proximity.

you may have a sensor bad in the crankcase that detects oil level.
I would disregard as long as the oil is changed regularly, and you have no pressure problems and the level on the dipstick is within the cross hatches or between the low and high range.
