Clothes dryer not heating

I have a Kenmore model 11096284800 where I replaced the heating element. It still does not heat. I saw something earlier about a thermal cutoff switch, but according to the diagram inside the bulkhead door, it says that the thermal cutoff switch is not resettable. Any suggestions?

I eventually changed the thermal cutoff switch and the high limit thermostat as suggested in one of your replies to another consumer and now the dryer is working fine. Thanks.

Kenmore model 90 dryer electric will dry the clothes takes a long time. Leaves the floor surrounding the dryer damp actually wet just not puddled

Are the clothes wet AND hot? If so - check the exhaust / vent hose for kinks or obstructions. That includes the cap / flap on the outside of the house.

If the clothes are wet AND cold, then the electric heating element isn't heating likely due to a broken or poor electrical connection, burned out heating element, defective thermostat, etc..

Good afternoon. I have a Kenmore Dryer that has stopped giving off heat to dry the clothes. Is this a fuse problem, something I can replace?

This would be the heating element, they tend to blow out quite easily in dryers.
check out www.e-spares.co.uk for a new one. they are very easy to install.

Heavy duty kenmore dryer model # 76680100 not heating up to dry cloths

Hello there:
please try this
Investigate these five areas if your dryer is not heating up:

Proper Voltage

If your dryer won't heat up, it's possible that it is not being supplied with the proper voltage. Here are three ways to make sure power is getting to your dryer: First, make sure your dryer is plugged in. Next, check the circuit breaker panel to make sure all the circuit breakers are in the correct positions. Finally, check to make sure no fuses in your fuse panel are blown. Any of these could explain why power is not getting to your dryer.

dryer_heating-element.jpg Heating Element

It is possible that your dryer isn't heating because its heating element is defective. Heating elements are irrepairable. If yours has ceased to function properly, you will have to replace it. Open your dryer's cabinet and locate the heating element so that you can test it.
dryer_thermal-fuse.jpg Thermal Fuse

Another possible cause for a dryer not heating up could be attributed to a faulty thermal fuse. Once a dryer's thermal fuse has blown, it is no longer of any use. If your dryer's fuse is blown, you will have to replace it. Open up your dryer's cabinet and locate its thermal fuse so that you can test it.
dryer_thermostat.jpg Thermostat

If any of your dryer's thermostats have become defective, they could be the reason that your dryer is not heating. Open up your dryer's cabinet and test each of your dryer's thermostats. If any are faulty, replace them.
dryer_timer.jpg Timer motor

A defective timer motor could also cause your dryer to not heat up. Test your dryer's timer motor. If it is no longer functioning as it should, replace either the entire motor assembly, or just its motor.

Kenmore Clothes Dryer Model 67902790 has no heat

Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

Note: It is recommended by most dryer manufacturers to replace a hi-limit thermostat when replacing a thermal fuse.(Thermal cut-off)

Kenmore Series 70 Dryer

I'm not familiar with your dryer model but general advice regarding dryers with the problem that you have described would be to ensure that any filter on the outlet is clean, whether it be a condenser or traditional external vent.

Ensure, if it is vented rather than condensing (only connected to a drain) that the vent tube has clear access to expel the damp air circulated during the drying process.

If the wash load is heating to a substantial temperature in the dryer, it isn't the element causing the problem.

Dryer not hot

Tht means that the element is not heating on.

You need to call a technician to test the element, the thermic sensor, and the control assembly.

The most likely is a defective heating element, that must be replaced.
