What do i do if the orange light keeps flashing..
SOURCE: Canon i9950
Five flashes: Print head not installed / Print head not installed correctly / Defective print head
Install the print head. If the print head is already installed, remove the print head and check the electrical contacts for foreign matter, then reinstall.
For the i9950 ONLY: When the CD-R tray is set in the printer, remove the CD-R tray and set the paper output tray to the paper print position, then install the print head.
After reinstalling the print head, you may need to realign it.
If this error still remains, the print head may be damaged

Yes, the flashing light on start-up is actually the Waste Ink pad is full
a Canon tech suggests that the job is very difficult (unfortunately even for them)
HOWEVER....good news is that you can override it for awhile...
this should resolve the issue
remember
to rate the solutions...anything less than FIXYA actually lowers my
rank...I didn't make the system...just wanting everyone to understand the impact of their vote....so if you need further help...just ask....hope it fixya'd...if it did then rate please!
