My Samsung HCL 4715W the color is almost gone and the screen is really bright....If I go to the menu and turn the brightness all the way down and the color all the way up it looks okay....but nothing close to what it should look.....All three CRT's are on.....and it does not matter what I plug into the tv...Cable...DVD all the same....triied unplugging it and waiting for couple of hours...did not help....any suggestions?
The focus controls on this set are in the front behind the bezel.
I'm not sure, but, I think on this age of Samsung, the screws to the
front bezel are on the back side of the set. After removing the screws
from the back, the front bezel snaps off and the door behind the bezel
need to be removed. Watch the wires connected to the bezel, they need
to be attached in order to turn on the set.
The focus controls
are on a black control block (there are three of them, one for each
color). Adjust each color for sharpest picture. I use words on the
screen for alignment.
Each CRT board has a screen control (Adjust
each slowly until retrace lines appear on the screen and then back off
until they disappear). You may turn off the color and make sure that
the picture is black and white. If it is not, then, which ever color is
dominant, back it off a bit with that screen control.
Facing the set, Red is left, Green is middle and Blue is on the right.
Use only one hand inside an operating television. Do not touch the board, just the controls.
This concludes television alignment 101.

It fixed the brightness and the picture looks great....but now I noticed the picture is bigger than the screen....and the perfect focus does not work....the convergence is good....maybe I'll just adjust the vhold and horizontal...
