Here's the part number for the replacement 8182233, thinking it may come as a 3 pack , if they're not broken no need to replace. but the new one will simply slide in and with a click forward lock into place. they also come shipped with a screw to secure. in order to install screw you'll need to remove the top of the washer(3 screws across the back of the top assy and slides back and off. then you'll see the top of the tub area, a small black hose will run from the white box to the left to directly top of the tub assy. remove ethe hose from the tub and spin the inner drum to the correct position, they screw hole will line up through the opening, re-secure the hose to the tub and your in!

My Whirlpool Duet front load washing machine has been making a strange loud sound during spin cycle and gray pieces of something is left in washer and stuck on clothes after wash is complete.

HI,
You will need to have your unit inspected for damage to the front of the drum, this could be a broken spindle or something major. But without seeing the unit I could not advise you in a repair. Check for broken or cracked drum front around the inside of the unit, I suspect this could be a major issue. I would call certified repair person in your area to inspect your unit properly.
Thanks

During the spin cycle it sounds like the drum is about to come out of the machine and there are little grey plastic pieces in the clothing.

Sound like the basket has broken away from the spinning support coming of the back of inner drum, Gray plastic is the front ring the inner tub is now rubbing on. This has been making noise for a while. Phil 1-800-559-1411 www.phils.com any help I can give you.

Whirlpool Washer does not spin or agitate.

The motor coupling has broke , it is a small plastic rubber piece you can see under the unit that connects the motor to the gear case. very common problem about $120.00-150.00 to have repaired or $20.00 or so for you to replace. they are not simple but not to difficult to do.
Let me know if I can help or answer any other questions.

Loud grinding noise only during the spin cycle.

Try looking at the solution for loud noise during spin with gray water in drain. This also sounds like the bearings on the shaft supporting the stainless steel drum, in the aft half of the outer drum.

Plastic piece stuck between drums

First remove power from the washer. The top panel #2 in the diagram can be removed by removing the two screws in back. The kick panel #16 also has two screws that hold it in place. From there you should be able to find what you lost. Best of luck!

Whirlpool duet Gray ceramic seal broke.

If you are talking about the counterweights, they can be ordered on line at appliancepartspros.com. Just type in your model number and look under the "Tub and Basket Parts" heading for items 9 and 15. Now depending on which counterweight broke (they are located on the back and front of the tub), the procedures to replace differ slightly. Can you place post back and let me know if it is the front or the back counterweight that is broken? If I am incorrect about the part you are describing, please elaborate a bit more and let me know which part it is.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II drum does not spin.

Depending on your washing machine model, the drum and motor are connected by 2 plastice yellow circular pieces, with a black rubber washer in the middle with holes where the pegs or rods go into. The 2 plastic circular pieces have 3 pegs or rods if you will, that connect to the black rubber washer via 3 holes. Sometimes, one or both of the 2 plastic circular piece pegs get broken off or the rubber washer cracks and breaks apart, so that the motor will not turn the drum. If thats the case, you can purchase the 2 circular pieces and black washer piece as a set.
