Question about Canon imagePROGRAF iPF8000 Printer
Had a paper jam on my Canon Imageprograf IPF610 Plot printer. Cleared the paper jam and now it comes up with "Hardware Error 03130031-2F26" Turn off printer wait a few minutes and then turn back on. It comes back with same message. Printer is approx 7 months old and this is the time of the year when I use it the most.Naturally it acts up now.
2F26 is a carriage error,you can solve your problem if you update your firmware version to 1.35

Had this 03130031-2F26 problem on ipf8000, as well as:
Carriage would stop suddenly with one of these three errors, sometimes would start up correctly, but could not print much at all and when it did it was blurry and would 'stagger' the print.
I am not an expert, but neither are Canon service agents apparently(!) so I stripped the machine down and had a poke around - it was a broken ribbon cable from carriage/printheads to mainboard. Break (on top ribbon cable) was just before ribbons are glued to enter inside machine (furthest point from carriage). Must be a stress point there.
Can I have $250/hr now??

Love it when a gifted end user out classes a "Professional Canon Technician" or what have you. Most of the techs I have seen are "Swap Technicians". They replace components until they hit upon the defective unit. Not much technical knowledge is required for that. Any lame who can use a screwdriver can be a "Qualified Service Representative" using this approach. God forbid they should have to diagnose a problem without any spare parts available. More power to you for doing it the hard way, by using your brains. "In Your Face" Canon Techs!!!
