Question about Alpine IVA-D100 6.5" Wide LCD w/DVD/CD/MP3 Player Car Video Player

Bluetooth trouble with incoming sound

I hooked up my bluetooth adapter to the radio. It works for the most part. I get incoming calls. The music stops for the call. I can answer the call. The person on the other end can hear me, but I'm not getting any conversation-sound coming in, on my end. I checked the volume, but that's not it. Any advice? Is it a bad unit?

Re: Bluetooth trouble with incoming sound

You have to go into your setup menu and turn the mute option off.

Sounds as though it could be a defective device, or possibly you should rewire your setup and ensure all the wires are properly connected and are all there. Let me know the outcome.

it sounds to me like your bluetooth is engaging and muting the system for an incoming call. you should take it to a pro audio specialist.

Unable to use my phone using my bluetooth on my VM9512

I had a similar problem with my iPhone until I discovered that the phone had a separate volume setting for Bluetooth connections. Once I turned that up I had sound. Hope that works for you as well!

Bluetooth function

The function of bluetooth with your unit is mainly for hands free calling, depending on what phone you have and the bluetooth capabilities of it you can stream music from your phone, dial straight from the radio use your voice to dial and things like that

I had the same problem, where the Sat radio, the bluetooth and the ipod were all non-functional. Turns out, they all go through one central hook-up, so you have to make sure that connection is good.

When mine did not show up or function, I looked at the install under the foot board of the front passenger seat that the installer did, and nothing looked out of whack. Upon closer inspection, one of the cables was had been pressed out of it's proper place and loosened enough to cause a bad connection.

I don't care for the install, but there was no problem with the equipment, so check all of your connections. Even to the point of pulling them out and reconnecting them to see if that fixes the problem.

Bluetooth Icon not working

I had the same problem with my nokia n80.

The solution i found is:

with the remote go to bluetooth phone. then on the remoete av menu. now you can select bluetooth as it's not grey anymore. i would advise search device with a new pin and not the standard 0000.

Good luck.

Let me know if it worked. It did for me. (eu model)
