    Hi

I've replaced the top screen on the Nintendo DS lite (my son had biten in it :-() And it was working fine for a couple of days. One morning he (my son) tried to start the DS and it would'nt start. The green light comes on for 1-2 sec. and then it dies. I've charged it fully and tried to look inside it and evrything seems to be OK.

I saw on this site a sugestion for a similiar problem, and have therfore checked the fuses F1 and F2, the multimeter says they are ok...

Do you have any suggestions ??

Hey, replacing the covers to a NDS is what I do for a living. Now, tell me, does it power up, then suddenly shuts off after about 2 seconds.? Does it turn on at all? Does it charge?

These are the three questions that I need to know before I can give a proper diagnosis and solution.

Try another charger, yours may be faulty. Alternatively, the battery may need replacing as it is no longer holding charge, these can be obtained very inexpensively from Ebay and you will just need a small cross head screwdriver to remove the cover on the back of the DS lite, then tap the unit in your hand to dislodge and remove the battery.

My nds is stuck in the same time, help please

I would first try to reset the ds to factory settings.
Reset Factory Settings for Nintendo DS 1. Use a small screwdriver to unscrew the back cover.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Wait a few seconds.
4. Replace battery.
5. Turn on DS.
6a. If you have to re-enter your nick-name/time and date etc, it has worked! Go to 7.
6b. If not, remove the battery again and wait longer.
7. Replace cover and screw back in place.

I've heard of this happening before but usually intentionally done in order to manipulate time in games that make use of real world time change.

Ds won't power up

Hello Steve, Maybe this can help! For the ds, when you removed the origanal case, it probably unhooked the speaker wires, i get this theory because the ds is like a computer because just like a sound card, it has different sound channels(there's one problem down). Next, you said that you switched the battery terminals, this probably fried the battery, but not completely, thus, leading to it reading for a second but then dying. I suggest that you buy a new ds battery, you can get one of these at a local bestbuy, wal mart, or even target. Again, i hope that this helped.

Remove the battery cover off the back of the unit. (One small Philips screw.)

Remove the battery.

Leave the system without the battery for 10-15 minutes.

Replace the battery.

Re-install the battery cover.
I've tried and it works. Thanks to The_Ogre
