I have installed 7ultimate and cant access my wi-fi .i have disk but it wont let me use my password says dos nt match. pressed reset to no avail

Make sure that the wifi security that you used on your router matches that of the security you are trying to setup on your new Windows 7 Ultimate box. If the security doesn't match up, it will tell you that your passwords don't match as well.

I purchased a netgear wndr3300 wireless router from private owner and it did nt come with setup cd.how do i set it up with out cd?

First off reset the router using the Small Pin hole on the back. Do this while the device is powered on and you will get an orange light and you will know this has been done Ok.

Next plug the router into your computer using Ethernet cable.

Open internet explorer and type in the address bar http://192.168.0.1
Username: admin
Password: password

You will see an option for Setup wizard on the left.

Follow the on screen instuctions.

Error Information: Router Setup requires your new router to be configured with the default username and password.

Are ytou trying to setup the router.
reset the router to the factory default settings. On the router You will find a small reset button.
Press it and hold it down for 10 to 15 seconds. Release the reset button.
Wait for 1 minute.
Now unplug the power cable to the router and plug it back in.
Wait for 1 minute.
now try to run the setup disk.
If that doesn't work then you can also setup the router without the CD.
Open the setup page of the router and change the settings manually.

Setup cd

You can setup the router even without a CD setup, if you know how to access the router setup page where you can do the configuration that will do the setup, But if you're not familiar with it better contact Linksys tech support so they can walk you through with the process on how to set it up without the CD this is the number 800-3267114.

Hope that helps.............

Problem entering router password

Try going in though its IP address to setup. In internet explorer, type in (with nothing else - NO http - NO www) just type: 192.168.1.1 - then use
username - type admin
password - type admin

That should get you in without using the cd software.

Lost startup disk

Are you trying to get the router settings through the IP address 192.168.1.1? If that doesn't respond, look at the back of the router for a small reste hole. With the router power plugged in, use a paper clip to reset the router config back to default. Hold the reste switch in for 30 seconds and pull the power afterwards while holding the switch in. Try that. There really shouldn't be a set-up disc needed for Windows XP or Vista. If you are using a DSL connection, I am sorry to inform you, but there is only 1 dependable router for wireless DSL and it is made by D-link. If you still feel you need a set-up disc, look on linksys website and search their archived download section.
