Hello, all,

The 2 in 1 USB slot of my A35 is broken, I won't change the whole motherboard. Is there anyone who knows that where I can buy this part?

Thanks in advance.

Rather than replace either the motherboard, or a peripheral, get a PCMCIA USB adapter. I have seen them on Ebay for under $10 with free shipping.

You can't buy from any where in Australia. It is only can get form faulty motherboard and re-put to your motherboard, otherwise you have to changed whole motherboard.

It is laptop not desktop, every parts all have been solder on the one PCB board, which all on one board.

My dell inspiron 1420's video card is broken, the fixer said i need to change the whole matherboard. do I have to ?

Hello,Sorry to hear about the issue. As you can check on , the common configuration of this model includes detachable nVidia VGA card. Still, please verify with the documentation of your laptop, video card model should be mentioned somewhere below the keyboard. However, even if the VGA is replaceable, the fixer could have meant an issue with the motherboard, for example unstable voltage for the VGA slot.Still, provided that you can ask for your old parts and compare the serial numbers, I doubt that the fixer is trying to cheat you and increase the volume of work so significantly. Please let me know whether I have been able to assist.

Hello! my problem is that my two USB ports is blown. Now I want to connect more USB port on the motherboard via cable, but none matches the port that the USB or sb_link, jp1... Can you tell me which port...

You will need to get a usb expansion card. These can be found at Best Buy,,, etc...

Some manufactures ship with newer motherboards a usb expansion slot using the motherboard jumper configuration but your motherboard must first be able to support this type of expansion.

I recommend the pci usb expansion. They plug into your PCI slot and give you 2-4 extra USB slots in the back of your computer.

HP DV8327Cl Laptop - broken USB

Ouch that definately sucks. Well it depends what is broken about it, if you are talking about the middle part you may be able to fit it back in there between the metal parts and use it ever so gingerly. But if the whole thing is loose, then yea they are usually put right on the motherboard. I know this probably isnt that helpful but you could just buy a USB hub for any other existing USB ports that work and at least you would have more than 1, :)

USB Flash drive broken

Have to be taken to either your local PC repair shop or sent back to the manufacturer. I would send it back to the manufacturer because they are more familiar with your system. There is nothing you can do to fix it has to be fixed on motherboard.

Don't forget to rate this solution..

Broken usb port, Acer desktop

May be hard to find.

If you have a spare PCI slot in your motherboard, I'd buy a cheap USB card and install it.

Here's some cheap ones online:

You may also be able to get one on eBay reasonable.
