I'm having exactly the same problem!

Same problem. Vax support line suggested tilting machine 45 degrees, turn it on and hold trigger in for 5 mins as may be due to an airlock. We tried this but didn't resolve. We were then told it must be the pump. Any other ideas anyone?

I have just managed to fix the problem i had with my vax rapide not releasing water. I also tried tilting it and that did not work. I unscrewed the brush from the base of the carpet washer and there is a black plastic strip with holes in where the water comes out of and onto the carpet. I used a needle to unblock these tiny holes which had become blocked after the last use. I now have it working again.

SOURCE: My Vax rapide is not sucking up water?

I had the same problem. Then I took off the brushbar (it's underneath at the front). It just pops off. Then it worked fine. I guess you only need it for long carpets.

Dear Sir:
Retach the nozzle to the cleaner. Cleaned can be blocked most of the time.
Wait for cool down, and try again.1( See the hose defective 2( Test pumpmotor for some wires loose or belt if there are, so you need replace.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
Yes, you can contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer and if they don’t carry the Vax Model then feel free to contact the Vax Rapide Factory Manufacturer phone number or the website for further information and to order parts if needed. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
