Hook up the ground with the pink and when you are in am/fm mode hit the dvd set up button on the remote, input the no. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0 make sure it beeps after every no. has been pressed. then it should bring up the hidden menu select the hammer option and turn on the brake bypass option. your done.

i took this from the uv8 brake bypass. it works on the uv9.

This question is still unanswered to this day, Does anyone know for POSITIVE how to cure the parking brake issue on the Jensen VM9224BT?

The Pink wire is negatively switched wire in the green plug, this should be cut and it should function all the time it's on.
So when you put the brake on it grounds that wire and shuts the screen off (safety)
If that doesn't work it will be switched by applied 12v.

I haven't looked at what other solutions say, that's just what I see from the diagram

http://audiovox2.info/docs/common/VM9224BT/VM9224BT_IM.pdf

any problems get back to me and i'll try to help out.

Parking brake disable model jensen 9511ts

on the jensens, there is a way to disable the parking brake without having to put a switch on the parking brake wire. the catch is that you will need the remote control to get into the service menu. follow these steps

1.turn the radio on and select the setup menu.

2. while in the setup menu, use the remote and press 5-4-3-2-1-0, this should access another service menu.

3. from there, you will see a brake override option.

4. and your done.. hope this helps

if for any reason yours doesnt offer this option. you can always put a switch on the ebrake wire of the screen.

1. use a 2 wire toggle and wire one side the ground and the other to the parking brake wire on the jensen. then do the pattern on the switch instead of using your ebrake.

I need to bypass brake for the jensens vm9311 so i can watch movies on drive

ok if you have the old firmware then all you need to do is ground the parking brake wire

if you have the new firmware(just bought the system) a toggle switch is involved:
1 - connect e-brake wire from dvd unit to the switch
2 - connect a ground wire from switch to the unit chassis(any good metal grounding surface will do)
3 - pop in a dvd, toggle the switch back and forth 2 or 3 times depending on what wire you placed where...and voilaa!! your dvd system should work in motion!!

toggle switch. attach the wire (thats supposed to go to the ebrake) from the radio to the switch. then a wire from the switch to ground. on my jensen, you need to turn the switch to off for 5 seconds then on and the screen should show your video just fine.
