Roper top loader direct drive washing machine vibration on spin

This thing vibrates and bangs around like its got a huge unbalanced load inside when it spins up.I replaced the springs holding the (barrell?)
and the plastic coupler to the motor. Same problem. I see there is a sort of skidplate underneath that has holes that line up and there were some pins hanging underneath them in these plastic cups, (not installed)I also replaced the water pump while I was in there,slight leak.
This has been a great washer and I'd hate to get rid of it.

    O.K. , thank you all for all the help. The problem ended up being : It was unbalanced !!! After tweaking the adjusters on the bottom it got better and better, as I found out what angle was working best.It was not uneven on the floor, did not have a tilt, but changing the legs angle worked.I had even gone as far as adding extra springs attached to the barrel , to no avail. Note: I had this machine upside down overnight . NOT recommended ! All this gear oil drained out onto the floor, and I could not figure out how to refill it.Amazingly after tweaking the adjusters the machine still works and has not blown up, even low on oil.

SOURCE: Roper washing machine- unbalanced spin - rocking agitator

I usually stand in front of the washer and take the plams of my hands and forcefully provide a force with the heel of my hands on the side front corners and the lip comes up

Another option is to pull the washer out and remove 2 clips (usually requires quarter inch nut driver to allow the top to come up

This should allow you to get the top off to see if a spring has broken or slipped off

GOOD LUCK!

Asko 12005 washing machine vibrates and banging on side when spinning

The load has become unbalanced. Pause the machine in mid-cycle (do not Stop it) and when it ceases spinning, open it and re-distribute the load evenly. Then press Pause again to continue the cycle. Note: if you Stop it, then restart when finished balancing, the machine will start washing from the beginning instead of continuing from where you Paused it.

Our new Zanussi Lindo300 washing machine moves around quite dramatically when on spin due to vibrations even on 800rpm spin. I have to push machine back into position after washl. Can some one advise.

The load is unbalanced. Try moving heavier or bunched up clothes to a different place in the tub and watch it spin. You may have to rearrange the load slightly to keep the vibrations to a minimum.

Washer bangs from side to side when on spin . Why

Several potential reasons for this:
  1. Unbalanced load;
  2. Washer is not on a concrete subfloor. This may sound a little silly, but washers situated on a wooden subfloor will vibrate the floor below (much like a person jumping up and down in a rising elevator) so they need to be balanced and anchored to the floor to prevent the vibration and banging.
  3. Loose tumbler--make sure it is properly seated on the drive shaft (less common issue);
  4. Bearings worn out in the shaft that extends up into the barrel (the thing into which you load the clothes). This is unlikely unless you your washer is older (maybe 10 years or so) or is used a lot.

Vibration of the wash mashine

How old is the machine? Have transit bolts been removed? Older machine is possible bearing failure or spider breakage( a 1 in 10 wash with a temperature of 95 degrees celcius will extend life of a front loader!- an empty wash or towels or sheets at this temperature). A grinding noise can simply be a worn drive belt, rotating drum by hand and finding grinding and lateral movement equals bearing/spider failure. Also a simple case of Underlaoding the machine will cause unbalanced load and vibration.
