My Euro-Pro 362C machine only sews at one speed: fast! Help!!

My euro pro EP382 problem: needle goes down & then it locks up. When I free it there is an extra thread with the bobbib thread that comes up. What can I do to fix this?

My machine is too fast, i've tried gently pressing on the pedal, I've even opened it up and tried gently sliding the activator along but this doesn't help, it still seems to just hit top...

According to the manual, there is no speed control on your machine. It is apparently built into the foot control unit. I suspect something is haywire with the foot controller but would suggest taking the machine and foot control unit to a sewing repair service.

Looking for a replacement foot controller for a Euro-Pro 9120

You may be able to get it from Euro Pro or a generic/universal model from a sewing machine dealer. They may need to see the machine to determine the type socket needed.

if the instruction manual doesn't mention different speeds, then it only has one.
try contacting euro-pro & ask them if there something to put on the machine to control the speed of the machine.

I have the same machine and it is a nightmare to use for us newbies. I think I will return mine and buy a higher quality machine, I feel sad about that because I am so excited and don't want to spend more.

I had the same problem with my Shark Euro Pro 7133. My problem was in threading the upper thread. The manual does not quite explain so I had to figure this out the hard way.

In threading the upper thread . the thread first goes down from the spool througt a groove. When it comes up it must catch a silver lever that moves up and down before moving it down againPlease let me know whether this helps.
