Dell 3010cn paper jam 075-134 cannot get rid of error

I have two Dell 3010cn printers that were given to me. Both have the same problem. The paper does not pick from the built in MPF paper tray. What I don't understand is that it's not even trying to pick. Nothing is moving in the MPF tray and picking mechanism for either printer. Then the printer reports at paper jam error 075-134. I think it has to be something I don't have set right. It doesn't make sense that both printers are failing in the exact same way.

    I have the same problem. We tried to have it fixed and Dell said it was almost impossible and of course said it was better to buy a newer version.

The reason Dell said this problem was almost impossible to fix is because it is. There is a lift mechanism inside the housing for the MPF paper tray that lifts the paper to the roller to pull off the top sheet. The lift mechanism in this printer model is flimsy at best. There is a roller cam with a knuckle attached to it to does eventually break, causing a failure of the lift mechanism. The components to repair this problem are unavailable from Dell, and can only be salvaged from another printer. Here's the kicker... You have to disassemble the ENTIRE printer in order to replace this assembly. This took me 2 and a half hours to accomplish, and you're going to have to do it on 2 printers, as well as reassemble the fixed one. DO grease the cam assembly with some white grease to get the longest life possible if you choose this option. Best option? Either purchase another printer off eBay with a different problem and use yours to fix that one, or, as Dell so lovingly suggested, purchase a new one. The cost of today's color laser solutions make purchasing one of these printers a much more viable option than fixing your 3010cn.

Try, firstly, to check the settings on all 3 of the printer itself, the printer driver in control panel, and in the software program (ie - Word) to ensure it's printing "letter" paper from the MPF (not tray 1).

Also, if you could, try print out a systems settings page from the reports menu on the printer itself. Does that print on either printer?

Will not print keeps on saying paper jam no paper jammed


Try turning your printer and computer both off, wait a bit and turn them back on. Sometimes that helps reset it.

We have a Dell 3010cn printer laser and it has an error message saying "reseat fuser". We do not know what this means. Please help!


Hi

The "fuser" uses heat to melt the toner-ink onto the paper, to "fix" the ink to the paper.

Open the printer, remove the cartridge, and make sure that the fuser is _exactly_ "seated" into its socket. Replace the cartridge, and try againn.

Otherwise, take the printer to a qualified technician.

Dell 3010cn error code 077 303 Close paper cover paper cover is open. Which is the paper cover and what can I do to get it going?


The Paper Cover is located on the top of the printer. It is the vented panel just behind where your printed documents come out. It lifts up to clear paper jams, and documents won't print until it is closed. Just push the panel down until it clicks in place...that should do it!

I have a Dell 3010 that has error msg paper jam fuser 077-104. I cannot find a paper jam anywhere in the printer. I turned it off, unplugged, checked under drum, opened all doors and checked everywhere....


you need to check the fuser, sometimes a small piece of papaer or a label stick on he fuser in order to do this you need to open the back and top cover. or take the printer to service

Paper jams in top/rear. I clear it out, it jams again


This is due paper out rollers having issue. Repair/replace the damaged rollers may solve your problem.

Revert back for more assistance.

I get error message "Paper Jam Fuser 07-104" "Open Paper Cover Remove Paper" I have done that and cannot see any misfed paper. What is the proplem?


It could be a couple issues. The picker rollers may need to be replaced. There are sensors after the draw and after the fuser.

Step1
Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.

Turn off the printer.

Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper. 
Step

Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge. 
Step

If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it. 
Step

If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly (see A). The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.

If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper (see B). Don't force anything, though.

Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on. 
Step

If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

How to solve repeated paper jams in Dell 3010 laser printer


Replace the pick rollers. If you're out of warranty it'd be mighty expensive to have Dell replace them, but, if you call them, they can get you access to a website (I can't remember the name...sorry) that has walk through tear-downs with pictures of each and every step. (Only do this if you're handy and have time)

Otherwise, replacement is the next option.

Typically Jams on this unit are from worn rollers. :)
