Question about Esky Honey Bee King 2 RC Helicopter

1 Answer

Lama v3. going in circles

I had to replace a motor so I did both of them and the 4 in 1 receiver. Since I had the patient open the Servos were also replaced.
EK2-0705B = new receiver
ESL031= Extreme SE 180 Ball Bearing Motors - 2X
EK2-0508 = digital servo - 2X

Start it up and it just spins in a circle and wont lift off.
Makes me want to go back to building plastic helicopters...
Any suggestions, please...

I was hoping that suggestion would cure the problem but it remains the same. Wondering if the motors are not turning at the same rpm. Any adjustments or just anything that would stop the turning.

Well I checked the bladesfrom above and they are going in the correct directions. Lower rotors clockwise and upper rotors counter clockwise. They teeth on the gears look good and a simple thing as having a fully charged LiPo was checked. Still wont lift off and going in circles.

Is there anything on the 4 in 1 that I should adjust. The motors are new but maybe one is binding so I will check again to see if the RPM's are about the same.

Yes i found After a few flights that my heli would not lift of soo i checked every thing and i found that the gear & shaft B EK1-0316 was all chewed all and it was just missing a few rotations plus try to trim the 4 in 1 to help fight the problem this take alot of fidling and is a trial a error process

I have the same problem with my helicopter. I disassembled it entirely and discovered that gear B rotates freely around shaft B. Maybe a strong force broke the bond between the two. Now, what to do? Still have to investigate. Glueing comes to mind, using superglue...

Looking from the above top roters should rotate anticlockwise bottom roters should rotate clockwise also check blades are fitted right way round. I only sugest this because you have replaced the 4 in 1 and could have put on connections wrong wa round easy mistake good luck

hi remove battery hold up lama and check all teeth on cogs then gentely hold each cog in turn and turn roter to see if enything is slipping. do not force if all that is ok and there is no exessive play put back battery, disconect one moter 4in1 hold in air by battery carrier and gentely apply throttel then repeat on other moter they both need to sound and act about the same. if they sound ok you could try ajusting the 4in1 but i would put back my old 4in1 and try that first hope this helps you

I have a 1994 chevy silverado and I just replaced the fuel pump now the gas gauge is stuck on the right past the full mark and my other gauges are twitching any ideas on what the prob may be

Certain year GM products have problems with the servos in the instrument cluster going bad (inaccurate or no reading, dancing). There are updated servos available that can be soldered in, but require taking your cluster out and apart. It's easier than it sounds. Look on eBay for a kit that has new generation servos and light bulbs.

What and where is the servos

  • A servo is a mechanism, usually a motor of some sort, that drives another mechanism. On a passenger aeroplane, for example, the control surfaces are too difficult for the pilot to operate because there is so much wind pressure against them, so they use hydraulic servos to move the elevator, flaps etc.
  • On a car, the drive by wire throttle control is a servo, which is electronically controlled by the computer, depending on the throttle position under the driver's foot.
  • In effect, the power steering ram on a car is also a servo, which is powered by the p/s pump, and controlled by the valves in the steering column.
  • On a smaller scale, the air conditioner has servos that open and close the relevant air duct flaps when the dashboard controls are shifted to control the flow of air in the car. Please note that on older cars, and some new ones, these flaps are not controlled by servos but by cables.
  • The remote controlled central locking on a car has servos in the doors that open and close the door locks when the remote button is pressed. On some cars these door lock servos are small electric motors, on others they use vacuum operated pistons, also called servos.
  • Hope this answers your question!

How do I adjust dual aileron servos

If your talking about 2 servos per aileron (4 total) I think you'll have to use 2 "y" connecters and sync the mechanically. I don't think it has provisions for 4 aileron servos. For 2 you adjust them in sub trim.

Changing fluid is just that

Old out, new in,nothing what so ever to
do with fixing anything

If a trans slips, then the new fluid makes
it worse or not useable

May be time for a rebuild

Could clean the valve body or replace
hardened servos,but I doubt you'll find
a solution

I want to install a new starter on a 1996 Toyota 4-runner SR5 V6. I cant locate it, first of all, and I've heard you have to get at it from the wheel well. help please.

i believe these are located on the passenger side of the motor at the rear of the motor were the trany bolts to the block.its easier to go through the wheel well after either removing the inner fender(plastic)or moving(bending)it out of the way enough you can get to the starter.be patient its not the easiest to replace due to location and limited space.

Motor has burning smell. belt and controller were

May I ask witch belt? Most treadmills have two belts, one to drive the gearing and one the patient walks/runs on. The tension and alignment are factors in the load on the motor. Too much tension on the belt the patient stands on will overload the motor. Alignment of both belts is a load factor. Eliminating the belts, tension, belt rollers, and control only power wiring and the motor is left. If the motor is the culprit call a local electric motor repair shop for testing and possible repair. Maybe cheaper than a new motor. : ) : )

I think the actuator has three bolts. Remove the bolts and work the actuator out. It can be frustrating but not impossible. Be patient and it'll be rewarding .
