SOURCE: Replaced lamp. TV does not respond

Hi, do you hear clicking or like a start up sound? if you do it could be an issue with the ballast, that's the board that powers the lamp. Here's how to replace it: http://guides.fixyourdlp.com/samsung/bp47-00033a.php Does your TV make a "whining, whirling, clicking, or humming noise?" If the TV have the infamous blinking lights problem and you're replaced your lamp without success, it's most likely a problem with your color wheel. The Samsung BP96-00674A color wheels spin anywhere from 6,000 to 15,000 revolutions per minute (RPM’s)--It is one of the few consumable parts in your Samsung TV. The average life expectancy from our data logging shows the Samsung color wheels are fairly reliable with a MEAN average of 5-8 years. Here's how to replace it:http://guides.fixyourdlp.com/samsung/bp96-01579a.php Also make sure door cover is properly shut and also reset lamp timer by unplugging tv wait 5 min and plug it back again.God bless you!

My samsung HL-R5087W tv has a darker than usual picture and then it shuts off and the display has a triangle with and exclamation mark in it. Can someone help me please??? I have already replaced...

Sounds like the color wheel is going bad. Samsungs are notoriuos for this. Sometimes you can hear a whinning noise comming from your set. This is caused by the bearings in the color wheel going bad. If your set is more then a few years old. more then likly it is the color wheel. But to me, after all the color wheels in Samsungs and light engenes in the sony's, I would choose the Samsung. Has a better picture

NO PICTURE, AFTER 5-60 MINUTES, LAMP IS LIT, AND HAVE SOUND

Hi,Do you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on? If you do it could be an issue with the board that powers the lamp, it's called the ballast.Do you hear buzzing or like a spinning sound? if you do it could be an issue with the color wheel, which is a disc with different colors that spin at high rpms to create the colors on the tv.If you don't hear any of this and tv is between 2-4 yrs most likely it's time to replace the lamp. This is your part number and here's where to find the Original Philips lamp: http://www.discount-merchant.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=BP9600677A+?Click=48173 God bless you.
