Question about Toshiba Satellite M115-S1061 Notebook
I was told by some tech guys they could take out the internal battery to reset it. Where is it located in the motherboard? Is that something I can do easily?
This is an easy process but you have to take the keyboard off. To start off take the main battery off, on the bottom side of the PC ther is a screw or a pair of screws that hold on the Keyboard(normally labled with a pic of a keyboard or the letter "K").
Once you have removed the keyboard screws you can turn slowly and gently pry up the keyboard, be sure to do this carefully as there are wires that attach the keyboard to the laptop. Once you have lifted the keyboard up u should see the "guts" and a small round battery.. Carefully take the battery out then replace it.
Now. The real question is what do you mean by "LOCKED UP" will it not turn on or is it frozen on a screen or what ? There might be a better solution to your problem than doing what is described above.
