If you would have answered the question, we could have solved this two hours ago. THE 7730 DOES NOT HAVE A TIME, it displays the time from the PHONE SYSTEM.

It is set from the display phone plugged into the system manager's jack. That 7730 phone will work on any one of 18 cabinets that Panasonic makes/made for the KX-T system.

If you use the KX-T7730 on a Panasonic KX-Txx 308 / 616 824 system. From the Switcboard / Main telephone ( ext 101, 10 or 9 ) with the handset on the cradle press Program * # followed by the system password ( default is 1234). Now press 000 and then Sp-Phone.Enter the year and then scroll to the month with the right scroll key (located at the right bottom corner of the phone). To change the month use the AUTO ANS / MUTE button. Now scroll right again and change the date and day. To change the day again use the AUTO ANS / MUTE button. Now scroll right again and the time will appear. Set the time. To change am/pm scroll to it and again use the AUTO ANS / MUTE button. Press Program to exit program mode and you are done.

HOW DO YOU SET THE DATE AND TIME?

It should be in 'settings' on your cell phone menu. Search around your phone. It could also be in 'organizer'. On my old one, it was in 'organizer', and once I went there, there was a 'set date and time' button. Here is the answer from the Vtech website: "Make sure the answering system is on. Press [Time/Set]. The system will announce the current clock setting, then announce "to set date and time, Press Time/Set". Press [Time/Set]. Press [Change] until the system announces the correct day, then press [Time/Set]. Press [Change] until the system announces the correct hour, then press [Time/Set]. Press [Change] until lthe system announces the correct minutes, then press [Time/set]. The system announces the current clock setting. Note: You can press and hold [Change] to advance the mninutes in increments of ten. "
