Question about Xerox Phaser 8500/DN Printer
Just added ink for the first time to a Phaser 8560DN and have a mess on my hands.
Errors code is 09,036.44:923
I've pulled the inks out and re-added them to no avail. I think it's a jam in the red ink, but it must be the old one originally in there as I have removed the one I added.
Any may to open it so that I can get to where the jam is?
Any othe suggestions welcome.
I would recomend that you have a certified technician work on this problem for you. The Pins that the cables plug into are very sensetive, I know I'm certified with Xerox. But you can keep running the printer through the purge cycle and get rid of the ink. You may have to apply pressure to the magenta ink to force it forward onto the heater. To do that just fill the magenta (Red) slot with bald paper enough to close the spring loaded lid and purge the system. Power on then off to purge. Hope this helps.

The printhead is stuck in the tilted position or is not able to tilt forward to the print position, due to problems:
Has ink spilled ink around the printhead that prevents it from moving to its center position? You should be able to push the printhead right to left. Clean the printhead area. Is the printhead stuck to the Wiper Blade? Check the process drive gears for obstructions. Ensure the gears are correctly aligned and homed. Has ink spilled on the Head Tilt gear drive train? Clean the gears area of ink.
