If you go to Start>connect to

A list of the the available wireless networks should pop up. Click on yours and then connect. It might ask you for the Network passkey/password. Once you enter it in then You should regain access.

My Asus laptops wireless capability is truned off for some reason and i dont know how to turn it back on. There is no switch for it. So i really dont know what to do. Help!

Right click on the wireless computer icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen. This will appear to be a computer emitting radio waves.
Select the "Connect to Available Networks" button
Choose the network to which you wish to connect from the list.

Press the "Connect" button to sync the connection, enabling your wireless.

On my toshiba satellite L455D-S5976 when i press F8 button nothing happens for wireless. how do i switch wireless lan on/off?

The F8 button is to get into safe mode not for wireless!!!!
There is either a button near the lid to switch it on or off.
Alternatively right click on the wireless icon at the lower left and switch on.

The wireless is enabled on this laptop by pressing the function (Fn) key and F10 key at the same time. The wireless needs to be turned on every time the computer is restarted.
