Re: Stop PDA from resetting itself

You need to Hard Reset your device to the deafult manufacter setup. This is easy to do, just open the user manual and read how to preform a ahard reset. Doing so should return the device to its initial factory setup where the on going resets should not happen.

If I remove My PDA-Phone Batery, My System Always

As per my knowledge,
Windows Mobie Pocket PCs with a Windows Mobile 2003 and later platform lose all the data when the battery is removed or too low due to the volatile nature of your PPC's memory.
This problem has been solved from Windows Mobile 5 onwards.
Thats all that I can tell you.

My Revo plus has gone completely off. Soft and hard reset did not do anything. On external power green light is on, but not the red one

On battery or on external power and doing soft & hard reset ain't giving any improvements, better check your warranty.

I want to delete a user on my zire31 pda

You should be able to hard reset the palm and erase all data. There should be a rest pin hole on the back, hold it and press the power button. All internal memory will be erased.

I was using the device yesterday with no problem, however the device keeps coming on and going off, I really need to fix this problem ASAP. Monique

there are many things you can do to fix a pda. the least time consuming of course would be to turn it off, remove the battery, wait a minute and then put it back together and turn it on. you have to remember that a pda is more a mobile laptop then a phone. a restart should always be your first action. second would be a hard reset. this wil restore your pda to factory settings. on the upside it will be like brand new. on the downside you will lose everything not saved to your memory card or backed up on your computer. a word to the wise, make sure your phonebook is backed up! nothing is worse than losing all of your saved phone numbers!

Pda ipaq 1710 not starting up

press the 1st and 4th button on the shortcut menu on the front and press the reset button. This will go through a complete hard reset and deactivate the battery. IT will take your PDA back to factory default mode. It saves you a lot of trouble. GOOD luck. If my explaining it to you didnt help then google "complete reset pda ipaq 1710". :)

Stops while talking

Hi folks with aging JAMS. My JAM is still dying (complete shutoff) using phone. I wish it would just lose the phone signal but my unit shuts off completely during phone calls. I can have 80% charge. I spoke with a friend that mentioned on his cell phone (different manufacturer) that although his battery will show a full charge or less, the time it takes for the charge to go down is ridiculously fast once the battery is old. He watches his phone lose a charge in under an hour though it charges to full.

I wish IMATE would make some formal post regarding when to get a new battery and what symptoms are possible. I'm a bit hesitant to invest in batterys if the issue is hardware. I use the unit alot--as a PDA, a phone, etc. It gets jostled about so maybe something is lose inside, though I doubt it.

I purchased a cheap phone charger so in the car I'm recharging and at work I just keep a cheap USB to plug charger. I reserve the phone when I'm out. This is not really optimal for cell phone use but it's a behavioral fix. I figure I should be looking at a new device (despite high prices) soon.

I did a full discharge/charge cycle or two or three but only noted short term benefit. At some point the quirky behavior returned and off went the PDA cell with the 80% charge. I see dots of us around the net. Again my Jam is probably 3 years old this March.

ActiveSync - not sync-ing all data!

As far as I know you can define the new name and use PDA without any problem. This is not a kind of problem. Create a new name and make connection. You will be also able to remove all old PDA names.
