Projection Lamp for Philips 60PL9200D/37 TV

Does this type of TV still exists and where can I find a projection lamp and what is its cost? Reason need to know every time we turn on our 60'' TV it starts out a little dark.

The serial number is YA1A0639024868.

Thank you,

Teresa M. Haycraft

P.S. Out TV is NOT a Philips 60PP9202 60 in Rear Projection HDTV. What OUR TV is, a Philips 60PL9200D/37 Projection HDTV (Engergy Star - Dolby Digital - Pixel Plus. So, please ignore "What product is it about?".

More than likely the problem is the CRT fluid and not the tube. Do a few google or fixya searches on CRT fluid and to get an idea of what it looks like when it gets cloudy.

I have a philips 60pl9200d/37 the picture is fairly dark even though I've turned the brightness all the way up

The lamp can cause a dark picture if it is defective. There is an access door to the lamp. Take the lamp out and inspect it. Especially at the bottom of the center stem where you may see a bubbling of the glass. If so it is bad for sure. Other problem could be in the main board. For good price on lamp with housing go to pureglare.com and enter the model number.

My phillips 60 inch tv 60pl9200d/37 wont turn on the power button flashes blue

Look in the manual. (Page 4)

Turn the TV on From main supply: Ensure that the main supply is turned on. A blue indicator light on the front of the TV lights up. When the TV is turned on by the main supply, the blue indicator light will blink for 45 seconds. This is the lamp's start-up period. When the light goes off, press the POWER button on the remote control or power switch. Press POWER to turn on the TV.

LOCATION OF LAMP

When you take the cover off of the TV, make sure the power is disconnected. You will notice the DLP lamp in a plastic housing, I have included a link to a video which will better show you what I an describing. The replacement is fairly simple and minimal tools are needed.

How do I get to lamp in TV 60" rear projection

The lower rear cover has to be removed on that model. The lamp is on the right side of the engine. Make sure the lamp is defective because the color wheel is part of the light engine and is no longer available.

Philips 60PL9200D/37 has no display with new light engine/power supplt/lamp assembly/ and SSB

Did you change the lamp yourself or was it serviced, and when it was changed was the ballist(s) messed with? It may be the ballast that caused the problem to begin with.
